We thought we'd give the Arlo a try, since it looked promising online. The room was good in terms of space and cleanliness, but incredibly dark with hardly any natural light. Thankfully, we were only there for one night. If we had been there for much longer, the lack of light would have been an issue. Breakfast was mediocre, service was the same. One waitress worked the entire restaurant, which was full. Needless to say, nothing was moving that quickly.

Great swag in room.

The Arlo Chicago is in a great walking location for downtown Chicago or the CTA. We were easily able to access both. The hotel room was not big but super clean & all the necessary amenities. Plus lots of goodies to buy if you wish. Staff was awesome. Very helpful & kind. The restaurant served great food & drink. Highly recommend.

The staff is always amazingly friendly and helpful. Your beds are the most comfortable beds ive ever slept on and the reason I come back. Only thing I would suggest is ponchos for when it rains.

My only complaint was the hotel restaurant was short staffed. I personally would not try their restaurant again. There was only one waitress working that particular morning. I waited probably 15 minutes to be seated and the restaurant only had 3 groups (2 couples and 1 solo guest). After I was seated I waited another 15 minutes and the waitress never came back. A kind kitchen worker noticed I still had not been helped (it’s an open kitchen) and took my order and brought my drink and later my food. The waitress never came back to ask if I needed a refill (which I really did want one). I never saw her again until she dropped off the check. I waited some more thinking she was going to come back for payment but never did. I ended up having to walk over to her and hand her my card telling her I was ready to pay and go.

1st house keeper knocked on my door an hour or two before checkout, I told them I don't need housekeeping. 2nd housekeeper came half an hour later, did not announce themselves as housekeeping and proceeded to open my door. Luckily I had the latch set so they couldn't open it all the way. They then announced themselves as housekeeping after they couldn't get in. When is this ok? No I didn't have the do not disturb sign up, it was well before checkout though.

I especially want to recognize the bartender from Sacramento, I wish I could remember her name because she absolutely deserves the recognition (and a raise!). She was incredibly personable, attentive, and made every interaction so enjoyable. She was genuinely the highlight of my stay. Shout out to the bartender from Sacramento, you are the star! Thank you for making an already amazing experience even better. I’ll definitely be back!

I got the millennium king room and it was worth the extra cost--the view was spectacular at all times of day and night. The hotel and staff were welcoming and helpful and the rooms are stocked with everything you need.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Arlo and the benefits received by Expedia members. I got a free upgrade as a result. The room was nice and modern. Small, but just right for solo travel. A little tight otherwise. I loved their staff! Kind, attentive, and funny! Thanks for a great stay!

The Arlo was a great place to stay! The location was perfect for us, hotel was clean, the room was comfortable, and the staff were welcoming and accommodating. The parking situation was less than ideal but ended up being fine. We would definitely stay there again!
