We need to leave in the morning and the valet staff were no where to be found. We came down at 6:30 to get our car, and the valet finally showed up to work an hour late.
-
Hotel is nicely located. Was able to walk to quite a few good restaurants and parks. Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.

The rooftop and the authentic details The smell of damp in the room.
-
Great downtown location very comfortable bed. Nice view from the 14th floor

My room was nice. Good size, great natural light and nice size bathroom. They use the pump bottles attached to the wall for shampoo conditioner and body wash. Body wash was empty. They have those great mini hexagons tiles, but some of the grout lines were black. That said, I would definitely stay there again.

As usual my stay was an absolute pleasure! You won’t find a more helpful and friendly staff in Birmingham. I will forever make the Redmont my first choice when looking for a hotel while I’m in town!

Only one operating elevator had to wait in long line to utilize elevator / no hot water on the sixth floor/ no mini fridge in room/roof top patio closes with bar and you can’t access it. Terrible area filled with homeless people chasing you in door. Staff unhelpful told them we weren’t even staying the night there bc of issues and desk clerk response was okay/ didn’t offer to make anything right or apologize and assist.

I love the Redmont Hotel. This was my fourth stay here. Everyone is always very nice and helpful. The only thing I dont like is that you have to pay for valet parking OR take your chances in the pay lot across the street.

One elevator is still out of service. We weren’t affected by it but your mileage may vary on that.

Every staff member with whom we interacted were pleasant. The food was delish. The room was the major issue - light bulbs were out. Shower curtain was dirty. There was no fridge. No chair. Headboard had dust buildup. Carpet was musty smelling. Room location was loud and bright. For the room reasons, I would not stay at this hotel again.

The Redmont is known as one of Birmingham’s historic hotels, and I appreciate the effort to preserve its legacy. However, despite being told the property had been renovated, I struggled to see where many meaningful improvements had been made. There is a difference between historic charm and simply looking old, and unfortunately, much of the hotel felt outdated rather than intentionally vintage or thoughtfully restored. I want to start by acknowledging the staff, who were excellent throughout my stay. Everyone I encountered was courteous, helpful, professional, and genuinely pleasant. Their customer service was easily the highlight of my experience. The condition of my suite, however, was disappointing. There were stains on the carpet, the footboard of the bed had dried, crusted stains on it, and the headboard was noticeably dusty. The mirror in the room appeared to be pulling away from the wall and hung crooked. In the bathroom, there was visible rust in the shower, and some of the light fixtures were not working. Another issue that stood out was the overall cleanliness of the room. Beyond the more obvious concerns, it felt like the room was in need of a thorough deep cleaning. The baseboards were noticeably dirty and covered in dust, and there was a general lack of attention to detail

One elevator was out of order and the other's inspection certification expired 11 months ago (June 2025). I emailed the state inspector as this is incredibly unsafe.
-
Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant and common areas.
-
No shower curtain and cafe not open early
-
Great stay. The staff was super helpful and very friendly. Only complaint was that they decided to redo the flooring in one of the elevators which made it out of service For the weekend. Not the smartest choice to make before a weekend especially with two big shows in town that weekend. Other than that, our visit was great.
-
Everything was great, elevators a little slow but it is an old hotel. Only complaint is there needs to be a garbage can in the bathroom. Also, our room would not get below 68.

Good location
