Hampton Inn Jacksonville Beach/Oceanfront

Both TV remotes did not work - bad batteries. They could only find one set of batteries those batteries lasted about an hour. The tub does not have any slip guards.

AC had very bad smell on startup and when technician opened it up there was mold and old rusty water inside. Hotel also charges an additional $20./day for parking. Lobby and public areas under construction also. 1st floor has no view because of sand dune.

Loved it here. Everything was great until it wasn’t. I don’t know what happened but sometime after 3am our room got extremely warm. Luckily we brought our own fan that made it possible to sleep for couple hours. Had to wake up by 6:30 and realized the room ac was set to 65 but temp in room was 80. Had to check out as early as 8:30 am because it was too hot to stay any longer. Felt better just being the the hallway of the floor than our room. I really love this hotel and everything about it, but having no AC and feeling like fan mode with warm air was bad.

Very good hotel in great location by the beach. Good service and staff, and even has a nice free breakfast.

Lobby area was being renovated. Construction workers were unavoidable, and the employees did a nice job managing the situation. I would think a 15-20% reduction in cost would be appropriate, considering the inconvenience, especially during breakfast.

The staff was amazing! Everyone was so nice and helpful. The pool and beach front were awesome as well. My grandkids and I have come twice and will definitely be back!

I love this hotel. The pool, tiki bar and staff are excellent. Love having direct access to the beach and the rooms are very clean. I only wish I could see the new beautiful lobby. When we arrived it was under heavy construction.

Everything was amazing! Best hotel in the world!

Nonetheless, the hotel is under construction and between the dust, noise, cramped spaces, it is anything but a relaxing getaway for families or couples. Even those on business travels are served best to find themselves meeting/ office spaces someplace else, as the noice of the power tools drowns out most attempts of normal conversations.

Loved my view. Room was in good order and clean. Staff were helpful and personable. Quality of breakfast was a pleasant suurprise. Did not care for the construction mess and noise but staff kept it down as much as possible during breakfasthours which I appreciated.

For my birthday I really needed this trip and it came out how needy the beach area connected to the tides connected to the pool everything arms reach I will most definitely book again when I come back down

We had the best time ever just was a little loud with the construction going on. But maybe we have to come back to see everything they were working on completed!!

I have been coming to this hotel for 3 summers in a row. I will not be back. I got a room for 2 days, paid alot of money (full price). When I got there I realized work was being done on the hotel and it was very loud, uncomfortable and made it hard to get to the pool and back, while eating breakfast I had to hold my ears itvwas so loud with workers drilling into the concrete about 20 foot from you. The debris, noise, clutter and workers made this a horrible experience. I will not be back, I'll start staying at another place for the prices there are alot of places in competition right there. They should've let ppl know this work was being done and offered discounted rates.

Nothing Construction

The location was perfect The carpet in the room was disgusting. It was dirty and stained really bad.

The entire first floor lobby area of the hotel are under heavy construction. While I completely understand the need because the hotel is very dirty and run down, the rate they are charging per night does not justify the condition of the hotel. When you add the construction on top of the hotel feeling and looking very poorly maintained, the experience was terrible. The pool was very dirty; the pool tile/walls had a black line showing where the sides had not been properly cleaned in a very long time. There were very large holes in the pool decking where the concrete was coming off. If it had not been that we were there with a group for an event, I would have taken my family somewhere else and refused to stay there. Again, the price point per night at nearly $400 for a standard 2 queen room is insane! Stay somewhere else!
