Best Western Plus Inn of Hayward

Not enough water, pillows are horrible, room smell not pleasant

Main criticism, which I have with all hotels, is the early breakfast! My disability has my sleep schedule out of my control so I wish there was a way I could still access even a smaller version of breakfast later

The room was clean and reasonably comfortable. Earplugs were left as an amenity- the highway was noisy but no worse than most hotel noises. Some of the infrastructure is showing wear- the elevator and stair wells, and furniture (drawers that kept sliding open). The breakfast was pleasant, including that staff. The front desk staff were “ok”.

Beware the air conditioning! The unit makes different kinds of sounds all night long and can easily wake you up. Also, it doesn’t consistently run- it shuts once a certain temp is reached. This would be okay were it not for the fact that the noise is inconsistent and sounds likes gears clanking together.

The place was clean enough, the personnel were helpful and courteous. The breakfast was very good. The bad part is the place is right next to the freeway and it has very old outdated paper thin windows and the noise level is outrageous. It’s so bad they provide ear plugs in the rooms. It’s not a horrible place but if you’re looking a good night’s sleep/rest this is not the best choice.

Check in was good, cool dude at front desk all tattooed out. I asked how was the property and he replied we don’t have too many break-ins. I laughed and said too many? He replied come on it is a hotel.
