The staff was great. The public spaces were great. The guest room was very clean. But the room really lacked functionality - no drawer space, two safes (???), but no small fridge, poor lighting. And the general vibe of the room was not great - dingy wall color, random built-ins. Really needs a refresh.

Pleasant experience

Bring your own shower cap, if needed. One was not provided. The room was clean and comfortable and the food at the hotel's restaurant was really good. With the exception of the night clerk that checked us in who spoke really fast so we had to keep asking them to repeat themselves and the key cards not holding their programming, the other staff was very helpful and delightful. The hotel was a great location for us too.

Property was beautiful and affordable in downtown Chicago.

Clean great location and hip design touches

Room was ice cold. I was told that because it was summer, they didn’t turn the heat on. Well it’s 64 degrees at night and they just sent a manager/engineer to berate us for even trying to ask for heat. Not even a “sorry” or “here’s extra blankets” or anything. Even the water was lukewarm to take a shower. Trying to get back INTO the hotel after 12am was awkward. No one told us we had to go through the bar area to get in. I tried to call front desk for help when I was confused and no one answered. Humiliating and a poor stay for the amount of money spent.

My TV didn’t work but the staff was nice and i enjoyed my stay! I’d stay again.
-
Rooms were more dated than I expected overall good stay.
-
The staff was very attentive to my wife & I needs. The hotel was very clean & reasonable priced in comparison to nearby downtown hotels! Highly recommend!!
-
It’s very expensive, however, for the average person. Spending $80 for 2 people for breakfast was more than what we expected. But, the food was delicious!

Very nice stay. Room was very comfortable and really quiet.

It was a good hotel all around. The bar was pretty good with drinks, cool looking, and the ceiling was beautiful. It was always packed at night when we came in for the night. The location was close to a lot of things, but not Michigan Ave. - we weren’t there for shopping. We got the deluxe king bed room. It was very spacious and had a fridge, but didn’t have robes or slippers as said in the description. A little dated but what do u expect for a building built in 1928. The bartender Luis was great and attentive. For some reason the hotel didn’t see that I purchased a breakfast for two, but they were friendly, prompt, and fixed the problem ASAP. The bed was waaaaay too firm for me, but my husband loved it. 🙄. Go figure. lol. The bathroom was bigger than the one I have at home. Even tho dated, it was clean. Bottom line, we’d stay again.

Didn't have a good view for the room I got

The check-in process was smooth, and the front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful with all of our requests and inquiries throughout our stay. The location is perfect—close to many attractions and very convenient for getting around the city, with both bus and trolley stops nearby.

A one night stop over between trains so was keen to have a good location and a comfortable room and what a find this was. Located 5 minutes from Union Station and a few yards from the L train providing a great way to get around the windy city. The staff were great, the room was very large and comfortable and the bar was a great place to relax at the end of a long day. Would highly recommend and not hesitate to stay here again.
