Took our daughter for her 12th birthday for a night in the city and the stay could not have been more perfect. The hotel staff started off awesome, and when learning that it was her birthday, he sent up a slice of the giant chocolate cake, and she was overjoyed of the thoughtfulness. We did the swim-in movie, and it was such a fun experience. To make it simple, we went to the Jordan restaurant for dinner, and it was very very good (my memories from my childhood was it was mid, but it was not!). Spent the next day walking and shopping on Michigan Ave and seeing all the sights - the hotel held all of our bags while we were out. We've stayed city nights in many places, with and without kids, and this was definitely 1 of the tops. Thanks to everyone

The rooms felt super dated and very small. It was very underwhelming property for being an intercontinental. The bathroom was tiny, with dated tubs and curtains. The sink vanity had barely any space to put anything. Felt a bit claustrophobic in the room. The price point was not worth it at all, yes it’s on Michigan in a central location, but there are many other hotels in that area at the same price point that are nicer, cleaner and newer.

The location is excellent and in a safe area! I’ve stayed at this hotel 3-4 times through the years of business travel and it has never disappointed.

Great location in downtown Chicago. Breakfast was good and convenient. Not luxurious but would visit again when in Chicago.

Overall hotel is beautiful but very old and rooms small. Parking was not big enough to accommodate our large van for valet so we had to find our own parking in that busy city. Pool area was extremely stuffy and humid I was having a hard time breathing and felt suffocated. Had to leave the area . Unpleasant area to sit inside. Wish they would open a few of the windows in the area. This was a big issue for us bc it was raining outside and so my kids wanted to swim indoors.

Great customer service. Pool was very unique!

everything about this hotel was amazing. the only thing is the bathrooms is there’s no door (it’s like a half glass panel) so water kind of goes everywhere, but that doesn’t have any comparison with how awesome this place is. would 11/10 recommend to come here

The location is fantastic, and the hotel is high quality. My room was very good, although I expected a bit more from this hotel as it seemed a bit outdated (not horrible, or in big need of a renovation, but some minor improvments would go a long way).
-
Staff offered another room, but for more money. Other than that, the location was great.
-
Great stay! We loved the amenities and close proximity to the river walk. The staff was excellent.
-
Fantastic hotel with an amazing staff. Perfect for getting around Chicago. My only negative is the AC unit in our room did not actually keep the room cold. It was able to get down to 72 after running overnight.

I’d like the toilets to be higher

I have never waited so long for my bag to be delivered by the bell desk (left it for the day after checkout)

Cleanliness and location Everything was great. The only thing was I asked the front desk if I would be able to check in early, and if I couldn’t if I could just check my bags. The person at the desk checked me in early, but seemed irritated that I asked. I didn’t care if I was checked in or not I was just asking. But everything was great.
