The lobby is being remodeled so there is no access to it; the picture on the website should be removed or this should be noted. However, check in was quick/efficient. Parking was adequate. The entrance to the halls smells heavily of smoke, etc. Thankfully the room did not smell of smoke. The TV was unavailable through the rain. Bedding, towels, toiletries were adequate. The shower provided only extremely hot water making it unusable. The AC worked properly.

The best way to describe this establishment is "trap house." There was no one at the front desk when I tried to check in and a sign that said don't ring the bell for service because no one was at the desk. There was no communication about when they would return either. I was propositioned walking to the front windows and I didn't feel comfortable standing there to wait. To be clear I am not easily shaken, have done homeless outreach for years, it was that uncomfortable. The environment is predatory not poverty. I had to call the front desk from my car and someone eventually came. The floors are buckling, the room smelled of BO & must. If it hadn't been late after a 4 hour drive & with an early morning flight I would have gone somewhere else. When I left at 4 AM for the airport. I later saw the sleeve for the hotel key advised to use all door locks, confirm the identity of anyone at your door, etc. The other reviews did not accurately describe the conditions. I can appreciate that it is a place where folks can find a place to lay their heads and it was not managed in a manner that felt reputable.

This hotel need some work, a remodel even and I believe it's the owner and his family behind the counter and they don't speak at all, no smile, nothing. We did not have access to the main lounge area. My assumption is they turned it into their own personal living quarters. There's no breakfast option, but Waffle House is right up on the corner. The pool has been cemented over. The hotel may look sketchy, but no one was a problem and the room was clean. I still would not stay again just because I felt uncomfortable.

When I arrived, there was a woman in a short red negligee and a sheer black robe standing in front of the registration office having a smoke. As this was an airport hotel, and the weather had canceled my flight, I did not have my luggage or toiletries. When I asked the man who registered me through the bulletproof glass if he had a toothbrush and toothpaste, he simply looked at me as if I had just arrived from Mars. The floors in the hallway were held together with duct tape. When I got to my room, I quickly removed the sheets to examine for bed bugs. To my surprise, the mattress, linens, and pillows looked remarkably clean. I called my wife and made sure she knew my location, then I laid down and had a restful five hours of sleep.

A good portion of the building was under construction. So, there was some noise. Room was fine but it was obvious there was a quick renovation. Honestly felt as If I paid too much given the state of the property.

The guy that checked us in was very rude. The pillows were paper thin and the shower was an absolute geyser of water. But the room did not smell of cigarettes which was awesome! And the AC was great and if you can play some white noise on your phone to drown out the fire alarm constantly beeping in the hallway, then you’ll be great!

Close to downtown. The elevator was not working, so I had to carry my luggage up 3 flights of stairs. When I got to the top, my key did not work to open the hallway door. That was super frustrating. It gave me issues all weekend.
