Riggs Washington DC

Everything was excellent. It was close to Washington D.C events.

Overall this place was fantastic, but there was one big problem. There's about a 1 inch marble lip on the floor transition from the bedroom to the bathroom area. Myself and other guests tripped over it repeatedly, badly bruising our toes and feet in general. One guy told me they put a bath towel over the transition to help cushion it, but I didn't hear that til Day 4 of a 5 day stay, with one toes possibly broken on my right foot. Seriously. Otherwise, this is a fantastic location and I would happily stay here again. Great food, staff, amenities, all 5 stars!

Beautiful hotel in a convenient location to major sites. Beautiful decor in this renovated bank. Room was comfortable and clean with great blackout curtains. Cafe Riggs is a stunning room with good food, cocktails, and coffee. Friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Staff were incredibly helpful and courteous. Rooms were lovely and spacious. Location was amazing! Steps from metro and a few blocks from the museums and national mall.

Check in was easy and friendly. Door staff was fantastic, kind and helpful. Rooms were cute and well-cleaned. No carpet, which was great, and well swept. The restaurant was tasty and well-priced. Overall an excellent experience. And no, it's not too far from the mall; its very conveniently located. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful historic building that had everything we needed for a lovely stay in DC. The staff was very pleasant and helpful and the location was perfect for site-seeing in DC. Within walking distance to thee White House and most of the museums on the national mall. Also close to many great restaurants and the metro and Fords Theater. The Riggs restaurant is also excellent with excellent service. They have a large gym downstairs and many great amenities. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

Second stay here and it will not be the last! In part to the great staff. Special shout outs to doorman Coach and bartender Sam.

Fantastic hotel in the heart of all the major sights you will want to see in Washington. Amazing staff and beautiful hotel. Had a fantastic 3 day stay.

Absolutely top notch and every single person was so helpful and friendly!

Had a problem with temperature in room as it never would go below 73. Reported several times to front desk but it was not fixed. Friends were in room directly below us and they were able to turn there thermostat to 68 which it cooled the room to 68. The first time they turned thermostat down to 64 but temp did not change. They should have moved us to a different room but never did. When I went to check out they did remove the resort fee when I complained when asked how our stay was. I don’t think they even looked at the unit to fix the problem.

The entire staff was friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The excellent service began at check in, where Dimitry at the front desk made us feel genuinely welcome. The entire front desk team was outstanding throughout our stay. A special thank you to Garnett, the Bell Captain, who was incredibly helpful, friendly, and service oriented. I would also like to recognize Mohamed, the Front Desk Supervisor, who went above and beyond to make our stay even more enjoyable. His attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction were truly appreciated. The breakfast was very good, and the restaurant offered a comfortable and inviting atmosphere that made each morning enjoyable. We also visited the beautiful basement bar, which had a great ambiance, although it was quite loud during our visit. The only disappointment was that the rooftop was not operating during our stay. We were looking forward to experiencing it and hope it will be available on our next visit. Overall, Riggs Washington DC delivered an exceptional experience, thanks largely to its outstanding team. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning on my next trip to Washington, DC.

Centrally located Nothing

Favorite place to stay in DC. There was a problem with the A/C but maintenance fixed it right away. Staff is courteous and the rooms are spacious.
