Good ambiance everything is beautiful. Food is expensive , alcohol is expensive your better off going outside of the resort great bar scene and great restaurants for cheaper than the resort.
-
People drink cigarettes everywhere even inside the pool, they don’t follow resort policy, need stricter management Other than that, All good ( family- friendly, beach, food, activities, different options)
-
Nice activities especially for family. Very dated. Sofa had large cigarette burn. Tub stained. Simple Update would make this stage to excellent grade. Concept is nice. Lobby great and smells good. My room disappointing.

Trade Winds at St Pete was a great stay! Rooms they need updating, but the location on the beach was perfect. Great restaurants! The staff was very pleasant to talk with! We’ll be back for sure!

Not enough elevators... It sounds minor but it's hot in Florida and waiting through 5 elevator cycles to get on an elevator with your luggage is not fun. The elevators are always busy. We've been to this hotel 3 times and this will be our last visit. The hotel is old, the new company that bought the place brought the atmosphere down, the pools are crowded, the beach is not as clean as it used to be, and you have to wait for everything. This trip we split our vacation at two hotels. The Island Grand was 2x as expensive and we regretted coming back. Live and learn!

We absolutely loved our stay! The property was beautiful (gardens everywhere!) and the staff were beyond kind and engaging. We got an unexpected upgrade to a suite and had a direct walk out to the beach. It was perfect! We will definitely be back.

The culinary experience here is top-tier. We ate at the nicest resort restaurants I’ve been to in a long time—every meal was an absolute masterpiece with phenomenal flavors, beautiful presentation, and an upscale atmosphere that made every dinner feel special. Beyond the food, the sheer variety of amenities and activities kept us endlessly entertained. There is always something fun happening, from classic resort bingo to a hilarious belly flop contest, and even feeding the ducks along the scenic waterways. The absolute highlights of our trip were the unique evening activities. We went to a stand-up comedy show right on the property that was incredibly funny and had the whole crowd laughing. But the most memorable highlight was getting to roll my own cigar! It was a genuinely cool, hands-on experience that I had never seen offered anywhere else before, adding a wonderful touch of unique luxury to our stay. The entire property is stunning, the staff is extraordinarily welcoming, and the vibe is perfect. TradeWinds provides the ultimate getaway, and we cannot wait to return!

We were traveling with a baby it was hard when our room was not ready at check in no areas for nursing in the lobby and didn’t offer late check out. Made for our short time there a bit hectic.

The hotel does not allow early check-in unless you pay a fee. We even contacted them ahead of time and still had to wait 3 hours to get into our room. The hotel website is very deceiving about how well it is maintained or updated. The pics on their site only show the best parts of the hotel. What they fail to tell you is that its basically a motel 6. No air in the hallways or elevators, water on the floors everywhere, no ice machines work on numerous floors, no vending machines so you have to get drinks in the hotel gift shop at an outrageous price. The hotel restaurants were understaffed and unclean. Food and water all over the chairs and tables that never got clean. Everything is served family style which is extremely inconvenient. The Italian restaurant got our order completely wrong so the waitress never came back to our table. The resort smelled like sewer and old garbage since it was so close to each of the tiny pools they have. Don't waste money on the cabanas or umbrellas they are situated in front of a pool with tons of kids and there is no food and drink service which it claims to have. It was not at all what we expected for a five star resort they claimed to be. We will not be staying there again.

Tried to get into our room at 4 pm check in and room was not available until 5:30. Dinner reservation at 6 pm and early 11 am check out. Not very relaxing overnight, no time to chill before dinner and then early night.

We had an amazing experience staying at the grand at the island grand at tradewinds. From our check in and welcome to the checkout and everything in between was wonderful. Staff was helpful and friendly and went above and beyond. The room and the grounds were clean and well maintained. There are tons of food options and activities on the property as well as a beautiful beach. We are looking forward to come back soon.

Property was great for a quick family trip. Everything you need is right on property.

We were staying for 7 days and paid for a gulf from room. When we went to check in, the awesome front desk girl said she would upgrade us to a gulf front room with a kitchenet. The room was spacious and clean. We didn't realize that they had moved the adults only pool to a different area of the property--to an adjacent building, until the very end of our trip.
