Best Western Plus Hacienda Hotel Old Town

Parking is at a premium. Had to park on the street and not in the parking garage. The coffee machine in the room did not work. Long walk from the front desk to our room. Everyone was very friendly. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. There was something for everyone.

Really nice lodging in a great location. The room was clean and the staff was awesome. The breakfast and airport shuttle was a nice perk. If we are back in San Diego I would definitely book a room here again.

I loved this place, however, they charged both myself and another in my group for drinking there $4 waters. $8.62 each. He did say he drank one and I didn't drink any. They did remove my charge, but it felt scammy. Will find another place for my group next time. Hasta Luego Best Western.

Maybe since I'm not from Cali but I thought this is a given. Overall stay was fine but it will not be on my list to do again

Breakfast is pretty good. Mexican inspired mostly but also oatmeal, bread/bagels, fruit and cereals. My biggest problem was one of the days I called first thing in the morning to ask them to change our bedding on one bed as my baby had an accident overnight. They said they would let housekeeping know. Around 2pm I called again because no one cleaned our room and they said the same thing. At 6 pm, my husband walked to front desk to ask again, and this time they came right out. 6pm seems way too late to me. We couldn't use that bed all day.

This place was awesome and I would definitely stay again. The staff was friendly and the property was clean and close to all the excitement.

Check in was not great, no convenient parking, they gave us the wrong room and it took too long to get the right room. Wouldn’t recommend staying here. Front desk staff was rude and lazy.

The room was great and was more like a resort than just a motel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was ok, but the cleanliness of the breakfast bar area, the plates, silverware needed attention. Parking was plentiful and easily accessible.

When we arrived after 4:00 PM, we were informed that our room was not ready. The staff offered us a different room and covered our parking, which we appreciated. We settled in, unpacked, and went out to dinner. However, when we returned, we were told that the room we had been given was assigned in error and was actually reserved for another guest. They did give us an option to move or stay, which was particularly inconvenient as we were traveling with toddlers. The hotel stated they would upgrade us to a deluxe room, but the new room was noticeably smaller than the original room we had been given. While the hotel did provide a dinner voucher as compensation, the dining experience was uncomfortable as there seemed to be an expectation that we provide a generous tip because the hotel had covered the meal. I appreciate that the staff attempted to make things right, but having two separate room-related mistakes during one stay created unnecessary stress and inconvenience. Moving rooms after already settling in is challenging under any circumstances, but especially when traveling with young children. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I do not think I would choose to stay here again.

We really love staying here when were in San diego. It's close walking distance to all the restaurants I love.
