TRYP by Wyndham New York City Times Square / Midtown

Our stay at the hotel was pleasant, but what really stood out was the outstanding customer service from the staff. My nephew accidentally dropped his tablet behind the bed’s headboard, and the maintenance team responded immediately. Although it took about 30 minutes to retrieve it and we had already checked out by then, the staff went above and beyond. They contacted me afterward and promptly mailed the tablet back to us. Thank you for making a stressful situation end on such a positive note!

Very nice hotel and excellent staff with a great location.

It was a nice location for going to Times Square and easy to get on the subway but the room was just alright for what it was. The bathtub wasnt great. The water would stay in the tub during a shower. Also the shower curtain was dirty.

Next to the police station so at times was loud. Hotel lobby is small and crowded but rooms are really nice size.

What a terrible experience staying at this hotel. We booked two months in advance of our stay and paid a premium for a room with two queen beds. Upon arrival the woman at the desk said that they didnt have the room reserved and that a room with a pull out couch was what they had to offer. There was no advance notice of this change despite many BS emails and texts about how excited they were for our stay. The room we booked and paid for was being renovated so id imagine they knew that well in advance of our stay and took our reservation anyway. The woman at the desk said that there would be no discount or accommodations for us and we basically had to take it or leave it, and that cancelation fees would still apply. The woman at the desk then said i was being rude for asking what we had reserved and paid for and that all of these were issues I had to take up with “Management” who was conveniently not available all weekend long. We got to the room it was dirty floor wasnt clean bathroom wasnt clean. There were no toiletries but hand lotion and two towels. Went to call the front desk and the phone had been disabled and could not call out. Another visit to the desk still all my problems were ones that only “Management” could handle and they apparently weren’t speaking to guests this weekend. All and all a terrible and very expensive visit to Tryp Wyhndham NYC. “Management” if you are indeed out there you should be ashamed of yourselves. I would not recommend booking this hotel

No wash cloths, felt so much smaller than the pictures. They are renovating so outside looked scruffy!!!! But it was ok. So much cheaper than others. The front desk was very nice!!!!

Multiple issues and no response from management or corporate. 2 days of no air conditioning, as well as the toilet stopped working one day. I told them about the toilet in the morning before leaving for the day. Came back late evening and still not fixed, so I had to fix. Reached out about concerns to general manager and corporate at least 2 times each and never got any response. Stay away from this property!

Didn’t stay due to guests at reception both complaining about conditions and we were a party of 8 expecting 3 rooms and tried to put us in 1 room with 1 bathroom then tried to upgrade us for $20 to a room with with 2 bathrooms but then admitted there didn’t have any rooms this accommodation should be investigated and taken off Expedia we booked another hotel for a lot less and had 3 rooms

The room was okay. I was upgraded into a family room from a Standard double. I don't know but for me being upgraded is always a welcome event for any person who plans to stay in the hotel. When I stayed in May, there was some renovations or repairs being done on the windows so the curtains is always pulled in hence it added dimness to an already dimmed room.

Toilet flush handle broken.

Krystal was very helpful at the front desk. It was a great place to stay and very close to Penny Station.

The place was not clean, shower had mildew in tile, it felt gross. I don’t recommend this place for what we paid for this place. I truly wanted to get comped for how yucky the place was. Walls were dirty and needs new paint. I don’t like to write anything negative about places that left me dissatisfied. I’ve learned that you get what you pay for. But in this case, $460 per night that sleeps 6… I was expecting a nicer place
