We recently stayed at the Fairfield Inn on W 36th in NYC. Upon arrival all the staff were very helpful, they stored our bags safely while we toured the local area until our rooms were ready. They called when one room was ready but not the other 2. I booked through Expedia and prepaid the room, which I will NEVER EVER EVER do again. This hotel charged me again for all 3 rooms when I checked out. Had to go to the front desk and speak with someone 2 times. The first person claimed I was not charged and I was mistaken. Pretty much dismissed my concerns. Went back up about an hour later and spoke with a very nice woman and she dig some digging. Found that they did charge me 2 times, had a manager come over and help with the credit (he too was very helpful). After getting home the credit did not match what they charged my room. It has all been such a hassle. I am sure I ended up paying the $250/per room charge for incidentals. Just be very careful when you work with this hotel. Also, our sliding barn door - bathroom door was off the slider. The door weighed at least 400 lbs and took 3 people to maneuver over the front of the bathroom. Asked them to fix it, no one ever came to fix it so we put a bed sheet in front of the bathroom so that there was a bit of privacy. Rooms are also super small and about a foot on each side of the bed to the wall. Crowded stay for 4 people in a room. To say our stay was not be best would be un understatment. Lesson learned on pre-paying with Expedia.

This hotel is at a very convenient location. Every staff at the lobby was very helpful. It's obvious the hotel is trying the best to help the customers, from breakfast, parking, to luggage storage. Will definitely back again.

Our stay was so nice! I would highly recommend this hotel. We stayed during the World Cup and there were so many guests but the breakfast buffet was amazing!
-
Fantastic staff, very nice people and very helpful. Room a bit small for 4 people and beds too small for two people.

Location was very good for visiting New York City.

The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout our stay. The rooms were spotless, modern, and well maintained. Breakfast offered a great selection of options, and the hotel was very family friendly. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again on a future visit to New York City.

I’ve stayed her multiple times. Staff is always friendly and rooms are always cleaned and conveniently close to the Moynihan Train station. Everything. Never a complaint after multiple stays.

Our first time in this hotel and unfortunately a bad experience. A very old property that needs remodeling. Breakfast was exactly the same every day. The staff mixed things and charged our stay two times, I had to file a subsequent claim.

Great location- amazing staff

Breakfast place was full almost all the time. Many days we eat at the lobby area. The deposit of USD 300.00 charged when we get into the Hotel was not refund yet. They assure the refund would be done in 7 to 10 working days but this not happened. I expect to get an answer from Fairfield team about the refund, because I already wrote many emails on the contact page and I still have not solution about it.
