SpringHill Suites by Marriott New York Manhattan/Times Square South

My husband and I had an excellent 1-night stay at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott. It's co-located with the Fairfield Inn just a few blocks from Moynihan and Penn Station. Our stay coincided with the World Cup and several other events so the lobby was hopping. Despite the activity, the front desk staff were calm, approachable, and helpful. Our room wasn't ready upon checkin as we had gotten in early, but it was not a problem to store our luggage. We were in room 620, which was a king. In NYC fashion it was small but well equipped with functional furniture (closet with full ironing board, safe, space for hanging clothes); mini fridge, coffee maker, a desk with charging stations and a chair. Each side of the bed had mini nightstands with charging stations and good lighting. There was a separate seat near the window so you didn't just have to sit on the bed if someone was using the desk chair. The bathroom was bright and clean. Lots of towels. The shower worked well and had consistent temperature and water pressure. Overall, sleep quality was good. The bed was comfy. If you are a light sleeper, bring your ear plugs as NYC is full of honking at any hour of the night. The hotel can't control that. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of hot and cold options that they kept well stocked throughout the breakfast period.

Our family of 7 stayed in two.rooms. rooms were small but functional. We only stayed one night. Close to time square and eateries. Easy boarding for Manhattan cruise terminal.

Super nice staff. Many small little touches which made the stay so comfortable. They have an excellent welcoming system and way to take care of the luggage. Super comfy bed and bathroom. So many things in the room like microwave and fridge.

Room was spacious, comfy bed and great tv. Breakfast was also very nice. Staff was a bit confused on the days of my visit. Had some trouble with having my room cleaned because of problems in their system.

Great location, friendly staff, breakfast included. Tight room, but not surprising in New York City, barn door on bathroom with no latch or lock.

only location we forget bag in the room we call same day from airport .we came back to hotel after 4 days.they said nothing found.

breakfast was awesome. later check out time was great. staff was so nice and accommodating. no bathroom in the lobby and the elevator takes forever, but thats out of the staffs control.

Exceptional

Breakfast was good. We discovered a large wet spot on the carpet near the mirror in the room; I stepped in it and got my socks wet. There was a persistent musty smell in the room. On the evening of our first day, after a walk around the city, we returned to our room only to find that the electronic key cards weren't working. Tired, we went down to the front desk; they took the keys and returned them five minutes later, saying everything was fine now. We received neither an apology nor an explanation.
