I always come back here when I'm in New York- the beautiful building, the clean and warm rooms and lobby of a Japanese style hotel, the brilliant location three blocks from Grand Central Station, and the charming chocolate shop downstairs all add up to a great hotel. But what puts it over the top is the staff- from the front desk to the doorman to the breakfast team- all work with seamless perfection. However, the staff at the rooftop bar particularly stood out this time as the weather was great and we were up there a ton. The gentleman who was our most frequent host, the servers (one was from Dallas!), and bartenders made the beautiful views that much sweeter with their friendly and accommodating service. Simply the best.

We had an excellent stay and truly enjoyed the hotel. The service, cleanliness, and location were outstanding. My only suggestion for improvement would be the lighting in the guest rooms. At night, the room is quite dim, making it difficult to get ready, read, or pack. I would also recommend adding a mirror in the bedroom, as the only mirror is located in the bathroom. These small improvements would make the guest experience even better
