Pod Times Square

Good location, takes a day or two to get used to. Feels very cold in appearance almost like ur in a prison setting. Under beds super dirty so kicked up my allergies. Did have a blow dryer there although a review I had seen said they had no blow dryers. Housekeeping kept up with daily pick up and towel replacement. It’s perfect for young travelers on a budget, not older seasoned travelers.

The whole 18th floor and our room smells like feet. The sink was very slow that washing your face would fill it.

I loved staying at the pod, because it was clean and exactly what was advertised. Personally, I went at a time while they were construction and I feel like we didnt have access to the entire amenities which looked beautiful. Otherwise loved it

That said, the room itself could use some attention. It had a slightly musty smell, and there was a crumpled towel left on the side table, which made us unsure whether it had been used. The bathroom ceiling had several small holes, and the faucet had a noticeable brown stain. While none of these issues ruined our stay, they did take away from what could have been a much better experience.

Location

Great location and neighborhood with several restaurants within a couple of block walk. Room was very clean. The rooms are small but you know that when you book. There is only one small chair at the desk. What I noticed was: one side of the bed is pushed up against the window, with the other side facing the interior of the room and door. Everyone must sit on that edge of the bed to tie shoes, talk on the phone, etc. The edge of the bed is breaking down and sags. Mattress's should be flipped or turned periodically.

Rooms clean, but just a ways from Times Square and very “squishy”. Decent for the price tho.

I wish the rooms were cleaner. The bunk beds are cheap and the metal is parts are horrible. It’s so close to the roof and it’s not clean up there or well maintained. It’s small but workable. They also had maintenance outside and I couldn’t sleep the first two nights. I would say my favorite thing they had was the free walking tours. They’re amazing. Location is very convenient. I just wish the beds were not so cheap and it was cleaner.

Clean and convenient hotel, our room was on the corner of 9th and 42nd Street so was quite noisy but that’s New York for you!

Felt safe during my stay as a solo traveler. Very clean and modern rooms. Cute bar and lounge areas as well. Definitely would come back!
