Salt Ranch Hotel
About Salt Ranch Hotel
Before there was a Nashville, there was a trail. Buffalo carved it through the cane and hills of Middle Tennessee, moving between salt licks that drew every living thing for miles. Native hunters followed the buffalo. French traders followed the hunters. Settlers widened the path into a road, and that road became Dickerson Pike. The Main House has been standing here since 1824, when it opened as Maple Manor, a ten-room property known for its garden parties, weddings, and community gatherings. The Pike grew into the Dixie Highway, then into a stretch of mid-century motel boom. Guest buildings went up in the 1950s, the pool was poured in 1957, and in 1964 the property took on a new name: the Congress Inn. Every generation found a reason to stop here. The name is a nod to the salt that started it all. The ranch is what we built on top of it. Main House restored, rooms refreshed, pool back open. Room to Roam, on the same ground where roaming has always been the point.

Bathroom looked like it was just "touched up" quickly. Beds were super comfortable! Suggestions: an extra waste basket, slightly larger mini fridge (current one is pretty useless). Coffee in room would be nice. Pool was beautiful. Pool bar was advertised on website but not open. Felt like it could be very nice but had a lot of kinks to work out.

Positively surprisning hotel. Really nice experience
-
Light through the door window kept me from sleeping.the lack of half the breakfast items left me going out for food and the coffee was terrible.the beds are unconfortable and lack of a small refrigerator added to my food issues.it is a VERY expensive motel 6.

This hotel is so cute! it’s new and nicely refurbished the staff was super friendly they let us check in early which was nice and had a cute bar and restaurant. Only thing I’d suggest is to provide in room coffee pots. Drip coffee is available in the restaurant for free but it doesn’t open until 7am so having a nice coffee pots for early risers would be nice but still 5 star stay!

Alright stay, helpful staff

It’s a newly renovated property, so there’s still a few things getting buttoned-up, but overall stay was great. Staff was friendly and helpful, amenities were clean and decently appointed, and the bed was REALLY comfy. We booked on our way to Atl, then chose to book again on our way back through, if that tells ya anything. 🤓

Amazing place! We will be back!

We had the most amazing 4 night stay!! We honestly loved everything from the room to the pool! We felt like we were in the middle of Palm Springs! The inside bar was great! The Salt Ranch Margarita was amazing! My only negative was, I wish they had had more of the menu available. Every person we came in contact with there was so friendly and accommodating! And the little mascot Rue was adorable! We will definitely be back to stay!!

Great place

The staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The pool was due for inspection on the day I checked in and was cleared and open when I arose the next day. I simply enjoyed my stay at a clean well maintained property with staff that did not hesitate to address concerns and respond to inquiries. The location was just far enough from downtown to be away from the hub and close enough to access as desired

I love the fact they renovated this property, but a few kinks can be worked out.

This is NOT a hotel - it is a renovated motel in a suspect area of town.

Fantastic lobby area & restaurant. Breakfast & coffee not included, however you can order from the menu. A fun alternative to chain hotels and motels. We will be back!!

Would def come back if we make it out to Nashville again!

Do not recommend at all. It was awful and it’s a motel not hotel.

The room was nice, clean, and new. There were a couple of cobwebs and 1 spider and there really needs to be a mat or rug outside the door. It’s hard to keep from tracking stuff in from the parking lot without one. The beds were comfortable but the pillows could be a little firmer. A couple of bottles of complimentary water would be a nice touch. The walls are a bit thin as you can hear the next door neighbors but it didn’t bother us. Overall great stay. Cute place and good location

Bar & lounge area great. Checkin completely awkward in the bar. Coffee machine was “out” so there was no coffee…..inexcusable. Good golly. Rooms clean , beds comfy, good tv. Could have used a desk for computer.
