The staff were more than helpful. Lockers in the lobby meant we could drop our bags off before check in and explore the city! The onsen in the hotel was by far the best onsen in town we experienced. Dinner and breakfast were buffet style- but had all the Japanese classics! The only downside is this hotel is located on a hill. It was a 10 minute walk from the hotel to Dogo onsen. But a 20 minute walk back up the hill

The futon was very comfortable and after nice oncen i slept like a baby. The food were delicious too. The facilities were great.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was slightly challenging to find as there was no English written on the sign to turn from the main road or on the building sign (kanji only), but GPS worked to get close to the area. We were able to park near the building without additional fee. The onsen was small but nice. Although it was on the first floor, the building is on a hill, so you could still see out over part of the city. We were able to easily walk to Dogo Park and Isheti-ji (shrine) from the hotel. There is also a free shuttle bus service, but we did not use it. We took advantage of the karaoke rooms, which was fun (free from 0900 to 1900, then have to pay in the evenings). We also used the ping-pong tables. The breakfast and dinner were both tasty with many options. The only thing I would change would be to add the location name in English to the signs to make it easier for foreign visitors. Otherwise, it was great!

Buffet breakfast and dinner is quite good , have a lot of food choice in both Japanese and Western cuisine. Hotel is on top of a hill with good scenery. Spa is good. I went there by self drive. Road lead to the hotel is narrow and winding. It took time to locate hotel , even by GPS. My room is on 2/F but the lift cannot reach this floor. We need to walk 9 stair steps to reach the room. This cause us problem as we have quite heavy luggage.

Buffet for dinner and breakfast not good. Food was OK but the environment in the room was not nice Location a bit far from the main Onsen area and we did not have a car so not ideal

The hotel is accessible to Dogo Onsen Station through a regular shuttle service. It makes it easier to enjoy the city! Also, there are many activities in the hotel like the Karaoke rooms and table tennis area.

The service by restaurant staff was excellent. It doesn't pay at all.

very nice rotenburo overlooking the city, good location close to Dogo Onsen (in itself a big let down given only one small bath available). small room for 4 people, very noisy restaurant, old fashioned place overall
