Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Des Moines Downtown

Will definitely stay here again. Great property. Only complaint was the $20 parking that was no included in the room.

We were greeted by fireworks at the skatepark. My daughter especially loved watching the skaters from our view. Quiet and very clean hotel.

We arrived after 1am and unfortunately Hotels.com only allows to book based on date, meaning because it was after midnight, we technically couldn't check-in til 3pm and it was 1am. Fortunately, the front desk worked with us and found an open room and accommodated our night stay. This was during the College World Series and was a huge help to our family of 5.

We stayed here on our way through town. It was a good stopping point. Hotel was quiet and comfortable. There were no sheets, blankets and pillows for the sofa bed in the room. When we asked the front desk, they were not able to provide pillows. There was a lot of construction in the parking lot which made it hard to navigate.

Spacious Obviously hadn’t been cleaned properly as we found a necklace on the floor (handed it to reception at checkout), gentleman on reception was very rude and uninviting

Excellent place to stay. Only discouraging part was the check in. The gentleman at the counter seemed like we were an inconvenience to him. Morning staff excellent and pleasant.

It was a good hotel

Passing thru Des Moines and just needed a place to sleep. Looking online and saw they had rooms for $106. Got 2 rooms and WOW! The rooms were huge, exceptionally clean, great beds and pillows plus the view was awesome! Will definitely stay again.

The hotel was ok, the location was excellent! But I wouldn’t choose to stay here again, the breakfast was weak at best. The hotel & parking lot was a bit dirty. Charged for parking that I didn’t know when I made the reservation.

Very nice , clean and modern hotel in the downtown area. Fairly quiet and comfortable. We got in late and there were few places nearby to eat. Not good for walking around after dark there anyway. Great breakfast! Nice staff.

Exceptional

Used this hotel many times, it's nice and well maintained Every other TV in the rooms is always disconnected. I've had 3 different reservations over the last two months for work here and almost every time, the TVs are disconnected and non functional and no one seems willing or able to fix them

Breakfast is advertised until 9:30 a.m. on weekends, but when my family and I arrived at 9:00 a.m., many items were already gone. Bacon, juice, and several types of bread were either missing or being replenished very slowly. It didn’t feel like the full breakfast experience that should still be available at that time.
