Room was comfortable and clean.

Great location, plenty of parking nearby in a large garage across the street, friendly staff (especially the morning breakfast manager gentleman), clean. The towel bar in room 709 bathroom is partially pulled from the wall. But the shower really needs work. There’s one of those half-door/wall deals that completely floods the bathroom floor. It’s really frustrating.

Excellent staff including receptionist staff and breakfast staff and housekeeping team. The hotel was full and everyone worked together to make my stay a pleasure. Being able to walk from hotel to Arboretum event was pleasant. Also being able to walk to downtown farmers market was fantastic. The hotel people made me feel like family. I definitely recommend this hotel!

The snacks for evening reception had a lot to be desired: trail mix, chips and salsa, and vegetables and dip. And the breakfast buffet in the morning was lukewarm at best, unless you ordered the made to order omelet. We arrived right at the start of breakfast and it had cooled down that quickly.

My room was gross, old banana peel on the floor, appeared to be fieaces on the wall , soda all over front door back and front. Walls black from ventilation vents. All walls so dirty , furniture was like it belonged in a motel 6 . This is the worst embassy I have ever stayed at !!!! I travel alot and hope they can improve from this review . I will never stay here again , staff were nice but the property or rooms are gross!!! Even the breakfast was disgusting

Great location in the Capital district. We had a wonderful view of the Des Moines river and bridge. The hotel could use some updating and maintenance. Our window leaked when it rained and the doorknob to the bathroom came off when pulled. Breakfast was decent, but food service for dinner was limited and not as good. Very friendly staff.

Honestly all I have to say is the breakfast could have been a bit better. The pastries were a bit hard, and the coffee was not great aside from that no complaints!

Property is beautiful. The location is amazing.

Was very outdated. Half the fountains didn’t work. Property is beautiful. The location is amazing.

The rooms were awful. Dated and there was a noticeable smell when you enter the room. The carpet was nasty and I didn’t even want to stay but it was only for one night. Bright spots- valet, both the evening and morning guys and our server in the restaurant/bar area that evening was very nice. I stayed there because it was the Embassy Suites, but never again.
