Normally a wonderful stay and would have been again but they failed to tell us they had major construction going on. The whole reason we booked a night there was to get away from the construction noise at our place. So yeah it was a major let down. I will say that the lovely staff did accommodate my room request and breakfast in bed was delightful.

Beautiful historical place to stay and so convenient to walk and do everything. Our only issue (and really it wasn’t an issue, was just an inconvenience) was that they are working on the front entrance so my husband had to drop me off so I could go in and ask where to park. Loved this place and highly recommend!

Main elevator was out. Other than that it was an enjoyable experience.

Under construction. Difficult check in as the driveway was closed. Valet parking was good but there was noise. Be aware. Staff was helpful and accommodating except for the restaurant bar which wouldn’t deliver or serve food on the patio. Overall would love to stay there when it’s completed.

Beautiful room. We had and upgrade with one of the suites. The staff were all incredibly helpful. The restaurant food was very good and the servers were great. Parking is a challenge in the area, but the valet service was awesome. We picked this place as we were able to walk, about 20 min, to the Cog Railway, which is a plus given parking is a challenge there as well.

It was a little frustrating when trying to order what we wanted. I felt bad for the waitress who kept having to tell customers about what they didn't have.
-
They use to have this amazing buffet. Now they have this overpriced made to order meals. Had a hair in burrito. Potatoes were hard and undercooked.

It was a unique, historic hotel. Location was great. Staff was very helpful.

We went to the bar/ restaurant while there and the food was delicious!!

Parking is Valet only, with the staff being very careful and efficient with our vehicle. The staff was very helpful and accommodating, returning at later times for the turndown/housekeeping services if asked. Room service was prompt and polite.

The Cliff House was very charming and the staff was wonderful. Unfortunately, one of the elevators was out of order. The options were the stairs or a walk to the other end of the bldg for the working elevator. The stone work for the front drive was being replaced along with other repairs made for a very noisy visit. I’m sure that once all the repairs are complete, it will be back to normal.

The room was comfortable and quiet and they accommodated our request for no fragrance in the room. The tv didnt fit the armoire and was at a weird angle for viewing and the charging block actually drained batteries rather than charging. There was also an unfortunate artificial vanilla smell in the lobby. Overall, it was a decent hotel. The biggest win being quiet and close to walk everywhere. For the price, Id like to see nicer amenities like the tv and charging block.

This is a historic hotel with much potential but for the rate I paid it was not up to my standards.
-
Interesting building history. It was under construction so we heard lots of construction noise all day long. The front drive was being repaved which made sitting outside on the front porch very noisy with concrete dust flying in the air.
-
Even in the midst of renovation, the Cliff House was clean. The staff were second to none and the location was spectacular.
-
This beautiful old hotel is hopefully getting the makeover it needs. We were upgraded to a suite, but the bathroom was falling apart and the shower wouldn't adjust--all hot water. Also, we encountered a snotty lazy bartender in the bar. Desk staff was great; valet was great. The location is perfect.

I suggest that they lower the shower products and cosmetic mirrors. very nice but not useful for shorter people. Very difficult to take a shower

The staff was a particularly positive element of our stay. Very responsive, very easy to speak with. Especial note to Phil, the Operations lead, with whom I had particilarly pleasant converdations and banter.
