Holiday Inn & Suites Chicago - Downtown by IHG

Front desk staff here is especially friendly and helpful. This is also so close to the main train station and also the clinton blue line subway which makes it a great spot!

Great hotel. Checked in and staff were friendly. The star of this hotel are the manager Maya!!! She was amazing to speak to and had a warm presence. There was a breakfast attendant we had on our second day that was also very nice but I cant remember her name. Will definitely stay here again as the hotel is very secure and clean.

Overall stay was nice and convenient. Would stay here again. The only thing was cleanliness could be better in the bathroom

Just a nice and simple hotel. Located in the perfect spot near Willis tower and Clinton train station.

Way overpriced for what you get.

The room was large, clean, and comfortable. The blackout shades and space were highlights. There are only two things that would make me question staying here again… 1. We arrived early and our room wasn’t ready, which is no big deal, but they wouldn’t even let us use the pool while we waited on our room. In my extensive travels, I’ve never experienced that and it was a bummer for my daughter. 2. The price for parking is really high… $65 a day! I understand it’s located in Chicago, but it’s not even located within walking distance to downtown. If you figure in the room rate, with the parking fee, and Uber fees, it makes the nightly rate very high compared to other hotels located in the heart of downtown.

The pool was clean but very cold. The room was old and dirty for $450 a night. Which is already insane for a holiday inn. Our bed had pen marks all over it, the carpet was extremely frayed. We were placed right next to a loud elevator where you could hear everything. The “manager” called the day before to ask for payment before we even checked in. In my entire life I’ve never been asked to do that. Extremely tacky and rude to threaten to cancel someone’s reservation if they don’t pay. I was supposed to pay at the hotel when I arrived. They didn’t care… this who experience would never make me stay here again. They just care about money and not the customer experience.

Bathroom was barely big enough to open the door. Front desk check in clerk was efficient but abrupt. Hard at 2 am after traveling all day.

Parking is limited for the amount of guests at the hotel. The public parking right next to it is not safe at all.

Ideally located to explore Chicago. Next to Clinton subway station.
