Holiday Inn Express Chicago - Magnificent Mile by IHG

It was at very convenient location to the Riverwalk, millennium Park, the navy pier, etc.. The rooms are smaller that I am used too. The breakfast was good, the staff was helpful and I was able to check in a little early. I liked the fact that I could drop off my luggage before checking in to check out the area and get some good food. The TV kept losing signal while watching, was moved to a different room a few door down.

Employees were unreal great. Breakfast was good, I guess I didn't realize we got breakfast, as most hotels in the area only have breakfast for an additional charge. No refrigerator in room as it is very small for 2, but we had an item that needed chilled and the front desk put it in a fridge for us. The room and bathroom were very clean, the bed was noisy every time you moved and the heat/ air unit was pretty loud. We got used to it. The location was great and they gave you 2 options for parking which was nice. I know the area and check in and luggage drop off is a pain, but there was no "help" with the bags. You unload your bags, take them to the desk, then move your car to parking, then come back to collect your bags on your way to the room. I am used to someone grabbing my bags and taking them in and technically there is a doorman but he only opened the door. Danger coming back to the parking in the evening. We came back about 6pm on a Saturday and we got the last parking spot in the deck and it was already paid for. Not sure what would happen if it was full when we tried to park.

Location was good. Clean but bathrooms a little outdated

The a/c in our room sounded like it was as old as the hotel itself (1925).

The location was great for our visit. The room was among the smallest we have ever had, but given the fact that it is located in Chicago downtown, it is less surprising to us. The biggest issue for our visit was the noise coming from the street as the sound insulation from windows seemed to be nonexistent.

This was our first stay at the Holiday Inn Express - Magnificent Mile and it did not disappoint! The property was extremely clean, the staff was incredibly helpful and the breakfast was excellent! My room is nice and clean and spacious enough and had all the amenities we needed anytime I had a question for the front desk, they were more than accommodating, sometimes even showing us where things were rather than just telling us. The only issue we have was a couple of the l out on the TV saying there was no signal, but then they would come back shortly after that. We found that happened mostly on Fox News Channel. However, we can't say enough good things about this particular property. Thank you so much!

It does have a couple of shortcomings just because it is a renovated version of a very old hotel. Bathrooms are very small - especially toilets. Water pressure is inconsistent. And it came take a while to get down the elevator from high floors. Overall the staff more than make up for any shortcomings as they were really exceptional. Would definitely stay again.

Close to a lot of things

Great downtown location. Many things to do. Hotel is very clean with friendly staff. And breakfast has large selections.

The hotel was the old Hotel Cass. Being that- very small room although renovated to modern times.

Location is great - good neighborhood, lots of restaurants nearby and very walkable.
