No big frills, but a solid place to stay when coming to explore the city. Good location for access to the museums with good proximity to Soldier Field. Also nice to be able to walk down the street to hit up a grocery store or convenience store. Overall a good place to chill in between city adventures.

It was an ok stay. Room was clean and the hotel was close to the sites/museums we wanted to see.

Overall a great hotel to stay at. Great views and clean rooms. Easy access to the museums and public transportation. Only issues was the room had no trash bags and the sink was slow to drain. Otherwise A+.

The barn door on the bathroom in our room was an issue as soon as we checked in. I tested the door and it was off balance and not sliding open easily for me, let alone my kids. I called down to the front desk and they said they would let maintenance know. We left to go to dinner and when we came back, nothing had been fixed. The next morning the door was still an issue since it hadn't been fixed so I called down the front desk again and they said they would get maintenance. We then headed out for our day. When we came back to the room in the afternoon, the door still wasn't fixed. I called to the front desk for the third time and they said maintenance had looked at the door and it was 'usable.' It was half off the top hinges at this point and couldn't be shut by anyone in the family. They finally sent someone from maintenance and he couldn't fix it and so we had to change rooms. Issues happen but it's all in how it's handled. If someone had come on night 1 to fix it, I wouldn't even be sharing. When you have to call three times, that's unacceptable and poor service.

The only negative was hearing the L train. It wasn’t that loud, but you could hear it. It was less frequent at night. Otherwise, the room was clean, everything worked, beds were comfortable, and staff were nice. 5 minute walk to the orange line and 15 minute walk to the Field Museum, Grant Park, the Shedd Aquarium, and the planetarium.

CONS: Extremely noisy elevator kept us awake, definitely needed maintenance of some kind. Door to enter bathroom was quite a heavy slider and does run the risk of pinching your fingers.

Will book again!

The location was prime for walking and sightseeing. There isnt a free breakfast or bar/ lounge like it reports. There is a small "bar" that was only open during breakfast hours and it was in the breakfast restaurant. Amd valet was full so we had to park in a parking lot. Other than that, it was amazing! Lake view rooms are to die for!

Great location for soldier field concerts
-
Decent location downtown. Room was clean Room was much smaller than expected. I thought the place would be more luxurious based on photos. Staff is not very helpful. Felt overpriced for what you get
