DoubleTree by Hilton Chicago - Magnificent Mile

This hotel is in a great location downtown. Very walkable area. Parking ramp is attached to the hotel so very easy parking. We ate breakfast at the restaurant/bar area and it was good. Not crazy expensive. Rooms were clean. Elevators are fast and there are enough of them so very short wait times. Even on the 15th floor, the sirens are still pretty loud and woke me several times, but welcome to the city :). Shower water pressure was good. Bed was comfortable. Cost for the hotel was resonable in the area and for what you get for the money.

Won’t be returning. Hotel was always noisy day and night , ambulance sirens all morning . after returning from shopping my bags were stolen/ thrown away by house keeping from out of my room I wasn’t given any clarity on what could have happened just to file a report …..I’d never ever stay here again

It is a great option due to its location accessibility and a very good service at the hotel, great option both for family or business trips.

Our hotel stay was excellent! Our only issue was how slow the elevators were. There were times no mater what time of the day we were waiting 5-10 mins for it to get up to our floor. Other than that, the hotel was clean, food was great and staff were friendly! Beautiful views from the room we stayed in.

Very disappointed with our recent visit at the Hilton Double tree downtown Chicago. We live in the city, have a 3 year old, and wanted to treat ourselves to a staycation for my birthday and enjoy our beautiful city by a pool! We left within 2 hours of checking in. when we were leaving, the front desk was not helpful, didn’t ask any questions about why we were leaving and were rude and unaccommodating. Both my husband and I have years of experience in customer service and this felt extremely unprofessional for what we were paying for. The pool was not well kept, empty beer cans were found in the hall and elevator. For $600 a night we were expecting a little more. Especially being a Hilton. We’ve had wonderful experiences at Hiltons in other cities and States and this was one of the most disappointing hotels we’ve ever been to. Both The customer service and the cleanliness were an absolute let down and not worth $600. We’re both bummed that this experience was not what we were looking forward to. We’re unclear where the false advertising is coming from.

I loved everything

Pro: Hotel is very walkable to restaurants, Mag Mile, and Ohio Street Beach. Pool area is great feature. Grocery store right next door. On-site parking but it is $65 a day. You do have in/out privileges. Con: pool work started at 6am the wound up closing that afternoon. The lobby market place was randomly closed all Saturday. The in house restaurant had a very limited menu on day we are there. They said it was because they were short staffed but they had very nice printed menus. And you could order an expensive steak but not the flatbread. It was also expensive in general. Food was okay. Our morning of check out was when we found the enormous cockroach. I alerted the front desk. They offered us a food/beverage credit. The in house Starbucks is limited and that day it was only offering drip coffee. I am unsure if we would stay again. Especially after the cockroach. Just grateful we saw it and didn't bring it home.

The hotel was nice. Only thing is parking you will have to pay every time you enter or exit the parking garage. Many restaurants and stores in walking distance

Location was close to everything we wanted to do. Pay for WiFi?? Crazy!

It was cold when we stayed so we didn’t really get to take advantage of the outdoor amenities, but it was very easy to park. Get our hotel and a nice place to rest.

I booked a 5 day, 4 night vacation package on Expedia with hotel, airfare, and car rental. My original flight was delayed, canceled, and eventually rescheduled 2 days later. Hilton and Expedia are refusing to refund those 2 nights. It's taken me 22 emails and 5 phone calls to get denied, so I've literally wasted hours of my time. The car rental company refunded my money with no issue. It's $60/day to park at the hotel. It's a basic hotel room, definitely not worth the price.

Exceptional

The hotel staff was so helpful and kind. Jose at the bar was sweet and attentive and the bar had great options. The market was good enough but limited snack options. Everyone made us feel at home. The pool area was lovely but not warm enough for us to take advantage of. I did spend some timeout on pool area to read and journal which was lovely. Overall the hotel was in a GREAT location and perfect for our family of 4, for a 3 night stay in June.
