I loved this hotel. A small note to my clumsy girl friends: watch yourself in the shower. She's a slippery one!

The best things about this hotel is the vibe, free parking, and location. Things to improve on would be to repair the towel ring and holder in the bathroom, provide stronger hooks for the heavy drapes (in an effort to open the drapes to see outside, the heavy drape just fell off the flimsy hooks), and finally, maybe a drinking glass in the bathroom. A coffee maker like a Keurig in the main area would also be a welcome addition. I couldn’t rate staff because we saw no one. It was a “personless” check-in.

This is a really cool hotel! My room was beautiful and comfortable. Although there is no elevator, all I had to do to get help with luggage was to call, and I was helped right away. I highly recommend this hotel!

Clean, quiet, comfortable, and well located.

Own privacy loved it!! Loved the room Nothing everything great

The lack of an elevator was scary for us as our room was on the top floor but the staff helped us adapt. It is a very comfortable place to stay.

Beautiful place!! It has so much personality, I loved it

The room was beautiful, we had no issues, but it’s literally just a room. You basically pay for aesthetics.

The room was very clean and wonderfully decorated!

Free parking and it's very close by! The staff was so sweet and helpful! This place was absolutely adorable and most certainly will be staying here next time we're in birmingham. 10/10!!

Well appointed, decorated, beautiful paintings, good location , but as an 80 yr old I wish I had known there was not an elevator. I was staying on 3rd floor. Also, I wish there had been more hanging space or clothes.

The property and room were immaculate. It is not for people with mobility issues, like most historic hotels. The Keurig and the shared hallway fridge were tasteful and useful, but those are not in your room. Perfect for a walking exploration of Birmingham!

Very friendly and helpful staff, convenient parking, and good location.

This was sort of a quirky little hotel, but I’m so glad I found it. The room I stayed in was so beautiful and pink Ann and the welcoming staff was wonderful. It was about three blocks from some amazing restaurants and bars and I would go back and next time stay in the green room! Thanks to the wonderful front desk staff.

Hidden gem in downtown Birmingham! Everything you need is in walking distance, and we loved that there was a free parking lot on site. Beautifly decorated rooms, with lovely bathroom upgrades. Everything was super clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Wonderful decor, cozy bed… seriously those pillows… I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. Ashley was extremely helpful and kind. Great location too. There’s an awesome bar literally right below it. I was nervous to travel alone but I felt SO SAFE here. It felt like I was staying with a good friend or family member rather than at a hotel. I love how easy it was to check in and check out (loved not needing to carry a key around because of the door codes). I was able to explore Birmingham and meet amazing people because of the location and safety of this place. Very walkable city! I can’t say enough good things about this place, truly. 10/10, would recommend you to choose The Painted Lady during your next stay!
