This is probably my favorite place to stay when I travel. Residence Inn is my first choice. If I find what I need, I look no further.

The entire facility is well maintained and all the accommodations were helpful. The only thing that needs to be front and center is the daily charge for parking.

The bed in the suite felt like sleeping on concrete. The hotel could use some updating to the carpet, the walls looked poorly refinished. I chose the Renaissance Inn due to experiences with previous stays where the beds make you want to go back to sleep and just stay in room. I definitely won’t be booking this one on my next visit.

The location is downtown and close to the attractions there. The hotel seems dated, and not as clean as you'd expect. We checked in and I laid across the bed only to end up wet. Urine was soaking the bed and came up into the new sheets... Disgusting. I went to the desk and she got us a new room but said I should've taken pics... The carpets were wet in the hallways. There's not a big main entrance and the parking lot is dark at night. They have a security guard overnight in the parking lot.

Check in staff was great. very friendly and helpful. property needs a bit of updating...especially regarding the carpet in the hallways/rooms. Mattress was saggy and needs replacing. I'd still go back there if needed, but just some refreshing would be good.

The staff is always very courteous and friendly! They always greet you whenever they see you. The hotel is IMMACULATE! Housekeeping personnel are always helpful and friendly and the rooms are always spotless. The beds are very comfortable and plush. The breakfast is amazing for being a complimentary breakfast! The lady who keeps fresh food out and everything VERY clean is SO helpful and such a nice lady! It's always a joy to talk to her. These reasons are why I use this same hotel anytime I am in Birmingham!! I wouldn't go anywhere else!

There was a staff member that was very rude over the phone. She caught a terrible attitude with me. Other than that everything was great.
