The cleaning people did not speak English. She didn’t understand what we needed for the room. So we had to go down to the office.

It’s a beautiful hotel with helpful staff and amazing amenities. The onsite bar and food truck are delicious!

Terrible and rude front desk staff upon check out. Not what you would expect to find in any business, little less in the hospitality businesses. Upon check out, I ran into the following issue when trying to pay for my $40 parking. I was asking about how long it would take the $250 hold for incidentals to clear my card…and the young lady said it shouldn’t be longer than an hour or so. But, just to be safe, I told her I would like to pay for my parking using a separate method of payment than the card on file, that already has the $250 hold. She said ok FINE no problem. She then proceeded to charge me $290 for parking!! I now had $250 hold on one card, and $290 for parking on another card! When I asked her why, she said…oh my bad I’m sorry I charged you everything again on this new card! My response to this error was, “so you’re telling me I just paid close to $550 for one night of parking?” And with out skipping a beat, she murmured under her breath in the most sarcastic tone, “it wasn’t even $550!” All in all, I paid close to $750 for a ONE NIGHT STAY. Keep that in mind before you book!

We rented a 3 bedroom suite for a girls weekend. We all loved Colton House! Room was spacious and clean. We enjoyed the pool, bar/coffee shop, and food truck. Extra touches like complementary snacks and water in the lobby were appreciated. Would stay again!

Very clean room and the staff was very helpful. The parking spaces were a bit small but that’s to be expected given the wonderful location. It is walkable to some wonderful cafes on South Congress. Enjoyed our stay here!

I truly enjoyed this hotel! The staff, the ambiance and all the amenities. Not to mention it is 3 mins away from where I need to be. Thank you Brandon and Jackie for being such amazing hosts!

Then, I asked for a one hour late checkout as I was attending a brunch in the hotel itself. Of course, I was denied - guessing the staff is bound by hotel policy and not allowed to have an original thought or make an exception.

Exelent experience this hotel

Unfortunately I forgot my pair of boots in the room after checkout. There is no doubt I were left them in the room. Checked out Sunday, called Monday and asked if any boots were found. At that time no one had reported turning in the boots, nor were they in lost and found. I was told I would get a call of they were located. I fairly certain they will not get returned, and am disappointed as I did like the hotel, and it seemed like a nice place. For this reason I will not return to this hotel, and can no longer recommend it to others.

Everything about the hotel and my stay was great. The staff were helpful and the room was clean and tidy. We felt welcomed and enjoyed the coffee shop on the first floor every single morning. The only issue was the mattress in our room was pretty uncomfortable. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

The location is a bit off the beaten path. You'll likely need to drive to most places, even areas that appear relatively close on the map. There is also a bus stop directly in front of the hotel that tended to attract a less desirable crowd at times. The hotel has great energy and design in the lobby and common areas, though that atmosphere doesn't carry through quite as strongly into the guest rooms. Overall, it was a good stay and offered good value. It was too cold during our visit to use the pool, so I can't comment on that amenity.

I loved this hotel. I could live there. It was gorgeous. Tastefully and beautifully decorated. Comfortable with many seating options where you could socialize, have a drink, or simply relax, amongst beauty and charm. The staff was delightful and kind and answered any questions I had with ease and Grace. They went out of their way to make sure you were taken care of. The pool was gorgeous. The bar served exquisite drinks and the hotel itself is in an excellent location. Off the beaten path so very quiet, but also very close to the activities, shops, and restaurants of South Congress. I will definitely stay here again when traveling to Austin and will look for similar hotels in different cities. Exceptional.

Beautiful hotel in Austin…. Staff was great lobby area was very nice with many nice spots to sit and relax. The cafe in lower level was lovely with a full bar. Pool was very nice but music was played very loud making the experience not relaxing. Location was close to shops and restaurants but not close enough to walk. Parking has a charge $$. Overall I would recommend.
