Aloft by Marriott Anchorage

Clean room, friendly staff, no difficulties with late check in due to flight arrival. Bed was super comfy and loved the brand of bathroom soaps. Great for solo travelers.

We were awakened in the middle of the night by someone trying to get into our room. I contacted the front desk who blew me off saying to go back to sleep, clearly guest going to wrong room. This is understandable but what happened next wasn’t. A few minutes later the room phone rang, the front desk demanded to know why we were still occupying the room after having checked out (which we hadn’t). I explained that we were still here on the second night of a two night stay but the clerk said that was wrong but eventually said he’d would check. After being on hold for 5 minutes at perhaps 1AM, he decided that apparently their system checked us out incorrectly and added that this was not an infrequent event. SO WHY DID HE ACCUSE US OF OVERSTAYING? In the morning, I spoke to the manager who after reviewing everything apologized and said he would work with accounting to refund our second night stay and I thanked him. But nothing every happened, no refund, no phone call, nothing. I called him after several days, left a detailed message and he never even bothered to reply. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I was here for a short stay but the room was great! Easy to find, easy to park, felt like there were some amenities I didn’t have the time to utilize, downstairs lobby had lovely social areas but I had an early departure so I did not make use of them. Very comfy bed.

The location was great. It was close to a lot of food options and local Walmart was in walking distance. The homeless population just hanging around the gas station across the street which affected the esthetic of the location. Secondly, was the paper thin walls. You could hear conversations in the next room.

I really loved the clean room and well maintained grounds, as well as the central location. We’ll definitely stay here again if we’re in town.

Comfortable beds and very kind staff. The pool was wonderful too. Breakfast was an extra charge & bathroom had an opening up top so it was hard to have privacy while using restroom and showering since main door didn’t lock.

The only thing I was a little unhappy with was that my room was right next to do a door that everyone has to go through to get to their lofts on the first floor so the door was loud late into the night and early in the morning. I would avoid room 122 when I go back. Other than that great stay

The decor is fun, the lobby set-up is great, plus a free pool table and board games! The original pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable, but they changed them out for firm memory foam ones the second day.
