Great hotel family friendly

This was a great hotel with plenty of space and a good breakfast. Exactly what we needed

The hotel is older and you have to take that into consideration. The rooms are in seriously need to remodeling. The bathtub in particular and the room furniture were at EOL (end of life). We were in a 6 person suite with 4 people occupying, all adults. The hotel outside of the rooms was still very nice and nicely maintained. The best thing was the cooked breakfast and the staff doing that were excellent and friendly. We wouldn't stay there again unless the rooms were remodeled. I know you can't do them all at once and perhaps we just got one that you hadn't gotten to yet. We were in 234. The beds were very comfortable. When you remodel, consider taking out the entire bar area. That would make the couch/TV are much more usable. Probably few use the in room bar anyway when you have a nice bar inside the hotel.

Super nice staff, clean and well prepared room, very clean and well kept grounds.

Ruben in the pool area was very helpful, as were the ladies checking us, and the breakfast staff!

Free drinks from 5:30 to 7pm. Free breakfast, which was pretty decent. The coffee was good. The staff was great. The rooms are suites, so they are a good size. The beds are very comfortable. It is very dated. The only upgrade in our room was probably the bathroom floor. The bathroom was clean, but there were two bugs in it when we checked in. There was still a bug in it after housekeeping was in there after the first cleaning. There were large areas in the room that hadn’t been dusted in some time. The lamp on my nightstand was very dusty and had cobwebs. My nightstand was also dusty. The pool is very small. For 4 nights we paid almost $1000. That seems very high for this little town of Abilene, especially as old as the property is.

Staff was super friendly, rooms were spacious,nearby many food places breakfast was great! The breakfast ladies and Johnny were so kind! The shuttle service was great they got me to the airport at 4am! could use a little updating it looks exactly the same as when I went there many many years ago as a kid. My bed was a little uncomfortable

The friendly staff was one of the only positive things about this hotel. We only encountered kind and accommodating staff members in our 3 day stay here. Breakfast was pretty good. I do love the charm of this older hotel, but it badly needs some updating. Our room was so unbelievably hot. When we got back to our room for the evening, even though our AC was set at 68, it was so hot. Everyone had to sleep on top of the covers until around 2-3 in the morning when it finally cooled down. Room and hotel overall were unclean and needed so much updating. Overall, this place was not worth the $250 a night we spent to stay here. Not even close to a $100 a night hotel.

Superb

very dated and in MASSIVE need of a 'face' lift! The staff were nice and the beds pretty comfortable but most everything else was old/dated the bathroom is in need of a 're-do' grout missing, toilets are literally the size that are used in KINDERGARTEN bathrooms. Carpets and drapes are in need of cleaning or replacement.

Everyone was so nice. I really appreciate the help with late check in and late shuttle service. I wish I could have stayed longer but I would definitely return. Thank you!
