Holiday Inn Express Wilmington North - Brandywine by IHG

Check-in guy was grumpy, breakfast was so-so (but it was free). Place was clean.

The location The ADA accessibility was terrible. There was a ridge at the bathroom door, the toilet was too low, no stable armchair and too small to turn the wheelchair.

The bathtub was heavily rusted and looked dirty; I couldn't shower properly because rusty water kept getting on me. I mentioned this to the staff, but there was no real response. Although the fire alarm didn't sound, it kept flashing every 10 seconds, which disrupted my sleep.

My door lock was very difficult to unlock and it took the front desk clerk showing me how to unlock it because it needed to be pulled and shimmied before opening. After several attempts on my own to try and gain access to my room they did get maintenance to remedy the situation and fix the lock. It should be standard that the turning mechanism engages after using the hotel key. The hotel common areas left some desired cleanliness. The elevator was especially sticky and generally unclean. The staircase was a better route. The backdoor at the rear corner of the building had a rock propping it open for the better half of my stay which made me feel a bit uneasy about security at the hotel.

There is no coffee or tea in the rooms.

Location and staff. Baseball event going on and kids were running around causing trouble. When we told the staff it got better. Bedding didn’t fit the bed. They were small for the bed.

I would stay here again without hesitation.

Clean and comfortable. Great location for us. No washer/dryer. Would have to go next door. We waited to do wash at a family member’s home.

The air was pure, the facility clean. But it’s not very welcoming looking and has an institutional appearance. Terrible view. Miserable snack “market” that looked like a mostly-empty closet.

Very clean room, the hall ways were also put together nice!!
