Hyatt Place Washington DC/White House

My flights were delayed but the staff at the front desk was very helpful and understanding making my stay very stress free

One thing prospective guests should know is that the hotel is located next to a gentlemen's club, which some travelers may find off-putting. Personally, it hasn't bothered me, but it's worth noting. The staff experience has been mixed. Most of the team members have been welcoming and helpful, especially when I needed to use the business center and printer. They made the process easy and were happy to assist. However, there is one front desk employee who I have not found particularly friendly or helpful during my stays. The complimentary breakfast is appreciated, though I do wish there were more options available. Still, it's a nice perk and convenient for busy mornings. Some of my coworkers choose to stay elsewhere, but for me the location, value, and overall convenience make this a good choice when visiting Washington, DC.

The location was great for visiting DC but... it needs some work. Its very outdated. My room was clean and they refreshed the room each day we were there.

My wife and I checked into our hotel a few weeks ago. We were able to check in early which was a great start. We get to our room and the room was poor lighting, but as we walk further. You start to see the dark stained carpets, the couch looked like it had never been cleaned. Had soiled stains of some sort and the room looked as though it cleaned in a hurry. I go downstairs explained the situation to the front desk. Delante was very helpful and polite. Got us a new room about 4 doors away from the initial room. We go into the room and it looked much better. We then get ready to relax & unpack. Turn the TV on and the television is discolored with lines coming down the screen. They decide to keep us in the same room but replace the TV. The next morning we wake up, We have ants all over the dresser coming down the wall. Now mind you we were on the 9th floor. Now, I can understand maybe the first floor being an issue. The best part was the rooftop and crew that was always clean and nice.

The people here were amazing!! Very friendly and helpful! We didn’t get any towels replaced 2 of the 4 nights we stayed- which is the only reason for the 4 out of 5 stars.

Loved location. Breakfast. Great water pressure for showers. Hallway carpets were not seamed properly they were separated throughout hallways. A lot of lumps and bubbles in hallway carpets. Can result in becoming a tripping hazard. If I had my carpet tools I would of repaired a lot of the imperfections my company specializes in FFE and carpets installation.

Other than that, they made beds and put towels out every day and cleaned up which was unexpected I highly recommend.

While the location and service may have been acceptable, the condition of the room negatively affected the experience. The hotel is clearly overdue for a renovation, and updating the carpets, furniture, and guest rooms would greatly improve the quality of the stay.

Great location Roof top bar was not open to under 21 ( not stated in booking) this was something we were hoping to check out but because daughter is 17 we were unable. Disappointed as this was a reason for choosing Hyatt over other hotels.
