Sheraton Virginia Beach Oceanfront Hotel

Not worth the price

Loved the hotel, particular its fantastic location right on the boardwalk literally a few steps from the beach. Generally clean, well presented with mostly helpful and attentive staff. Room was spacious, clean and regularly serviced. Could have done with a few basics in the room such as crockery and a teaspoon, and a light in the kitchen area and main room would definitely have been helpful. Had to move the only lamp from the dressing table to the bedside table - no other lights (at all) in the room! The air-con was excellent if a little noisy but the 'white noise' was easy to get used to. Buffet breakfast was sometimes excellent, other times very depleted, limited and not particularly well replenished (on a couple of days there was no bread, one day no milk and a couple of days the bananas were well past their best). All in all a very pleasant two week stay, beautiful dining room, lovely shaded area and clean pool area (could have done with a few more towels). A few very basic tweaks could lift this from very good to excellent. Would have no hesitation in booking to stay here again.

Friendly staff clean room great location

We arrived to check in at 5:40 pm and were told that our room wasn't available due to cleaning (Unacceptable), Was given 1 free drink ticket. While sitting at the bar I met a gentleman that said he had been there since 2 pm waiting on his room. The staff did not seem interested or concerned that the lobby/bar/restaurant was full of Frustrated families with thier luggage trying to check in. We finally checked in at 8:50pm our first day in Virginia Beach completely ruined due to the Sheraton and it's staff (No forms of compensation was offered) the Sofa in the room was soiled and broken, The Bed was lumpy and uncomfortable, AC unit banged and made loud noises while on, There were fleas in the room, the carpet was soiled and dirty, bathroom was so small you must close the door to door on the toilet, the lobby drop-off was always packed with unattended cars that blocked each other in. This Property and Company are a Complete disaster if this is the way thier customers are treated.

The property was beautiful and I enjoyed my stay. Very convenient location! The only recommendation would be to clean the pool/pool area more.the room was very nice! The bathroom was a bit cramped but I’d stay there again each time and I have no complaints

The room was OK. It definitely could’ve been better. The air-conditioning wasn’t working and the sink kept backing up. And underneath the TV area where they keep the fridge and the cabinet. It was destroyed. It looked like something was going on with it, but I didn’t complain, for what we paid for the room. It definitely could’ve looked a little better.

The desk staff was more than accommodating and very friendly. The bartender at the outdoor pool bar who has the long hair (she is from Virginia and used to Be a teacher) was excellent and super friendly. A way to improve would Be providing some type of complimentary breakfast with the stay and improving the service in the restaurant. The beds and pillows are my favorite here. I sleep very well at the Sheraton.

The hotel was terribly understaffed. The building looked well renovated but all of the service problems made the stay unenjoyable. The pool was a mess usually. Late checkins for almost all guests when we were there.

I loved it; I went with my husband for the weekend, and the place is beautiful. We watched the sunset from the balcony, and the combination with the sea was excellent.

The pool area needed a good cleaning. The pool also had lots of debris on the surface and was cloudy. I didn’t stay in it for long. I liked the shaded patio area and the staff were all very nice and helpful.

It was amazing looking forward to returning soon.

Convenient location, but property dated and in need of some attention. Saturday night was noisy and a little uncomfortable for a family with partiers in hallway in early morning hours. Highlight was a terrific restaurant staff who were attentive and especially gracious with our family.

La habitación que me tocó la carpeta estaba en mal estado,había tacles de carpeta salidos tuve que poner una toalla para que mis hijos no fueran a lastimarce,el baño malísimo el toilet estaba suelto se movía cada vez que se usaba la y la puerta no abría bien!! El las piscinas no habían toallas limpias !!!

It would be nice if there was free coffee for guests in the morning.

A nice property, needs new mattresses.

The beach view was breath taking

Bed was comfortable, shower was nice, wasnt a fan of the smell of the body wash and shampoo, had my own tho, the hallway didnt smell the best and my door didnt close all the way, had to pull it shut, was found open a few xs left by my kids. My biggest issue was parking, we have a conversion van that would only fit in a few spots in the garage which was full upon arrival, they had us park in the handicap spot overnight and recommended we pay to park it somewhere daily if there was nothing in the garage. Luckily day 2 there were spots but we couldnt drive anywhere not knowing thst we'd ha e parking when we got back. It was clean and would stay again even tho we had these few issues
