Royal Palms Motel

The rooms are so cute! And very clean! We were having so much fun we extended our stay!! Cynthia in the office is so helpful and you can tell she loves her job! Will stay again next year!

Encountered 2 different women at the front desk at different times. Both were very helpful and kind. The beds are AWESOME!!!

Cute place. The pictures made it look better than it was but it was still nice. Close to everything. Pool stayed open till 10pm, that was nice. Bathroom tiny.

Be aware of sink being extremely small!!! Very inconvenient

The room was clean and comfortable enough, although the bathroom was quite small. One thing worth noting is that the pillows were thick foam pillows, probably around six inches thick, which may not be ideal for everyone depending on how you like to sleep. A bright spot of the stay was the front desk staff. The associate we interacted with was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to travelers who understand what they’re booking. It’s a solid option for a budget-friendly stay and appears to have received thoughtful updates. That said, it’s still fundamentally a 2-star motel, and expecting a luxury experience would be unfair. In fact, I’m not sure a well-run 2-star property can realistically do much more than what this hotel provides. If you’re looking for value and have realistic expectations, it should serve you well.

Such a cute and quaint motel. Clean rooms and property. Staff was amazing. Price point is unmatched. Parking is right in front of your door. Will stay here again. Keep up the good work. Thanks for a great stay.

Never cleaned the room in 4 days, difficult to get towels, old lumpy pillows, one air conditioner for 2 rooms inadequate, no closet or place to put things. Nice pool but small. Nice deck clerk but she couldn’t get housekeeping to help us. Overpriced for what you get.

The blonde woman at the check-in was very warm and welcoming. We were early and our room was not ready, but she said that she would call or text when it was. When we got into our room, it was amazingly small. But the number one main reason why I gave it three stars is because of the bleach smell. It smells like there had been a half a gallon of bleach just dumped in there and wiped around. My eyes were burning and there was no way I could stay. The other thing that was frustrating but might’ve been able to be dealt with was that the air-conditioning would not go lower than 78. It was about 95 outside. There was plenty of parking and ease of In-N-Out. It was close to the beach which we enjoyed. But we left before we could spend the night because of the bleach smell.

Short overnight stay. Very small...

We were only visiting the island for one night so it was a quick trip. We loved the retro feel of the hotel and everything was very clean and well maintained - and the air conditioning unit worked extremely well! Becky was extremely helpful and you could tell she was working her tail off to make sure all guests were taken care of. The one downside was that there were no beach towels provided - I think the majority of people staying there are visiting the beach, and since we flew in, we could not pack any. It would be a good idea for them to provide or even rent out beach towels, as well as rent some other beach items such as umbrellas and chairs. Not everyone visiting drove in and could pack all that stuff. I felt it was a little overpriced for what we got, but it was conveniently located just a few minutes walk from the beach.

Amazing experience as always

The bed was wonderful! My husband and I slept better than at our home. Wish we had that set of mattresses at home and comforter. Needed a chair in room.

The motel looks old. But was very nice, and clean, my only recommendations would be to reprint the lines in the parking lot because it's important to management that you park between the lines.

The property was in prime location. Just a few minutes to the beach by foot. Literally five minutes. Location was perfect. You can walk just a few blocks and be in the downtown area where you can get food and drinks without any worries about driving. The motel was cute and vintage. Very adorable. Great for a few nights day. If you don’t mind a tiny house living the Royal Palms is the perfect place.

Second time we’ve stayed here at Royal Palms and the staff always friendly and rooms clean…would definitely stay again!

The only complaint I have is that the front part of the 2 bedroom unit did not have air condition and got pretty warm but all in ask the rooms were extremely cute and the beds and shower were phenomenal .

It was the cutest little retro motel. Clean and quiet.
