Admiral's Inn on Tybee Island

Staff was very helpful whenever I had an issue, the rooms were clean and the ac could be set and kept the room real cool. There are a lot of fun things to do and nice restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. Really enjoyed the stay.

Arrived rigjt at check in, 4pm, and was told room was not ready. Front desk attendant would not indicate if it would be 10 minutes or 2 hours, stating she'd call when ready. 1.5 hours later, no call, checked back and informed it was ready. This was disappointing and caused is to miss dinner reservation. No apology, poor attitude. Housekeeping does not service during stay, which was ok, but if longer than 4 days, you may need to change out towels and sheets and have trash emptied. Otherwise, will stay again as it is 1 block to beach, comfortable beds and convenient.

Our luggage was sent to Florida and had to be FedEx’d to the hotel. Cecilia and the staff were very helpful in getting us telephone numbers to call,etc. We would stay here again.

Great hotel one block from the beach and walking distance to everything. Very clean and nice! Ice and water available for coolers at no charge. Wonderful, clean hotel!

Location ok, no breakfast offered There was a bar across the street from the inn that played loud music all night and kept us awake. Very annoying

The location was about the only good thing. Linens were scarce. AC didn't cool at night no matter how low you set it. They DO NOT serve breakfast as advertised. The wall outlet right next to the bed was hanging out of the wall so we couldn't use it. The pool says it was heated but definitely was not heated and it closes at 10 every night. They had 1 drink machine and 1 snack machine but the snack machine did not work. I stood at the counter for 10 minutes waiting to check out while the attendant just sat there talking to a coworker.

Overall I say WELL DONE! this is not a luxury hotel nor is it a flea bag dump, but it is clean and the staff is friendly. I thought it was a good value for the money I paid. I would say if you are going to Tybee this is a good choice!

Clean and friendly staff There was no elevator for the second floor. Not awful but inconvenient when loading and unloading our luggage, etc. The air did not cool the room as great as we thought it should and the mini fridge was not super cold. It was doable.

Convient, easy to park, a bit old looking. Worked for 1 night.

Refrigerator in room did not work, and the safe was inoperable. Housekeeping came into the room even though “Do not disturb” sign was clearly placed on the door—my biggest pet peeve. Even so, staff is generally friendly.

Our stay was good. The room was kinda small. No elevator and phone in room. No breakfast or ice. But a quick in and out stay was ok. Rooms look like it was shown. Not bad.

Location

The inn was very nice! Great value for the money! The lack of elevator was a bit frustrating. The only thing I was displeased with was there was no continental breakfast served despite that being listed on the booking and websites.

SIDE NOTE THE DIM BATHROOM LIGHT AT NIGHT WHICH IS A SECOND SWITCH ON THE WALL IS THE BEST. Keep up the good work guys and gals your doing a great job.
