Holiday Inn Tampa Westshore - Airport Area by IHG

The room was spacious and clean. Love that they had Dove products for the shower. Pool was wonderful. Check in was seamless and the hotel was easy to find. Definitely would recommend to others and would love to return myself!

Don’t plan on Stay- Park- Fly; even though the website says you can and IHG says you can- they try to bait and switch it with a different price than quoted. Management will not help- They don’t tell you about the parking fee to just STAY there one night.

Beautiful room and view. I got a last minute hotel before my morning flight to relax and this was just what I wanted. I arrived around 8 ish at night and was checked in happily and hospitably. They informed me about everything and I went to my room . Very accommodating room . Nice view overlooking the pool and Tampa . I went and checked out the gym as I always do for no good reason but it was very nice if you actually workout ! Then I went to the hot tub/ spa portion of the pool area - which could've had more water in it but i managed and I wasn't complaining . A family was playing in the pool and after they left I was able to do a couple laps and look at the storm heading our way. Afterwards I made my wazy to the bar with about 40 minutes left before they closed. Lisa made some great dirty martinis for me and I was able to take two little can drinks that were on special back to my room . I was shocked at how little my bill was for 2 very good 😉 martinis and two (nurtl) cans all for 38 . Which sometimes a martini will cost in a hotel bar. I went to my room and watched some zoutube I was able to stream from my phone and slept like a baby in the comfy bed and linens. I was up early for the morning flight and there's conveniently a shell station across the street - as I had rented a car and needed to refil. The airport is literally 1 mile down the road and pretty easy to navigate . All in all fabulous experience. Thank you .

The staff is super nice and friendly. Very accommodating. Hotel is clean. Just wish the restaurant had more food choices.

It started a little rough, I drove there to let them know I was in town. They said they would call me when the room was ready. They verified my phone number and told me they would call when the room was ready. I never received a call from them. When I went back to checkin, Russ was very helpful (I give him 5 stars). He was courteous and apologetic that I never received a call. He was not there when I originally arrived. Either way, I had a question and he was not sure of the answer so he asked the manager on duty, who answered very rudely in front of me. Russ continued to help me in a polite manner rather than carry the negativity of the manager. The grounds were okay. The restaurant/ bar was also great! The service in there was exceptional.

The air conditioner was warm, but other than that it was a good stay. The shuttle services was great, specially Angel De Jesus 🇵🇷

It was very close to where I had a meeting at. They charged for the breakfast. First time ever coming to a Holiday Inn and the breakfast wasn’t included.

The staff is definitely not very friendly to say the least. My husband had a seminar that he paid to attend and it was at this hotel so we decided to just stay here so we didn’t have to drive him to the seminar. Convenient & clean most definitely but kind & friendly they are lacking. Front desk check in clerk was a young guy & he didn’t explain anything not even that we would be charged to park in the hotels own parking lot or breakfast that you have to pay $20 for. Nothing. Not even enjoy your stay with us. And the same for the check out young lady…not how was your stay or please come back….nothing. You’re good that’s all. Also it’s like a bar in the lobby & pool with people drinking everywhere and being loud and obnoxious. Just be aware that the staff is not friendly & that everything is an extra cost because I guess they can do that being so conveniently located. Also the cleaning staff on the 8th floor was extremely loud in the hallways. They yelled so loud it woke us up. I never hardly leave these kind of reviews but sometimes you need too.

The attached Indian restaurant left a lot to be desired. And I was not notified at check in of the parking fee. If those are my biggest complaints they are doing great

The property is older, and while some areas have been renovated, it does not appear to have been fully updated. The hotel has virtually no soundproofing—you can hear everything from the hallways and neighboring rooms. Additionally, our room had a very strong sewage-like odor that was quite unpleasant. Overall, the comfortable beds and friendly staff were positives, but the noise levels, odor issues, and aging condition of the property affected our experience.

Very meh. Wish we had stayed at the Marriott across the block. An old property that is trying to "come up" but struggling. Tired, and our room had a musty damp smell that would not dissipate. It was okay for one night. Nothing particularly horrible, just a sad property in a good location.
