Hampton Inn & Suites Stamford

We have stayed at several OF THE “BIG NAME” hotels in the Stamford/Greenwich area. They re all more expensive but none match this Hampton in terms of friendliness, cleanliness, and staff. Our room looked new. And the service at the complimentary breakfast was first rate.

Bad

Easy to find, plenty of covered free parking, room was clean, facilities as a whole were clean and tidy. Nice little snack-for-sale area in the lobby -- really happy to see it at midnight! Very close walking distance from the train station. Overall, very convenient for my needs. Room layout was weird, not enough USB ports/electrical outlets that worked, and street noise was pretty loud at times. Breakfast was pretty mid, didn't eat anything. Little sketchy to walk at night in this area, I felt.

My stay was great. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was very attentive and helpful, would recommend this property of staying in the area.

Our favorite thing about the hotel was its restaurant, which had the best gluten free pizza I've ever had (as a celiac). Our room was musty and had poor air quality, like maybe smokers had been there or the air vent needed to be cleaned. We told the front desk, and because they were sold out and couldn't move us to another room, they sent up a staffer to take a look. Their solution was to open the windows (usually nailed shut), which worked well enough for our short stay, but didn't address whatever the issue was, so I'm curious how subsequent travelers fared. And -- this will sound odd -- but the TV seemed too large for the room. As if they were using it to cover that some of their other amenities were more basic.

Cristal at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. Building and rooms were very modern and clean. The breakfast was good. Wish there was more fruit available.

Clean, easy parking, smaller hotel, comfortable new rooms. Extra nice bathroom lots of outlets & spaces w mirrors for 4 of ladies to do hair makeup at same time. Great breakfast, friendly staff

Better than most

Clean and well maintained! Great staff No complaints! Well run!

Enjoy the restaurant attached to the Hotel.

I look forward to coffee in morning. There was no bold coffee as is served in all other Hampton Inn’s. Light roast was offered which had no coffee flavor. I chose oatmeal with nice toppings. It was cold. No microwave to warm up.

Superb

Easy parking, helpful and pleasant guest services. The restaurant is convenient and delicious! Most people would love the bed, but it was too soft for me.

A very clean hotel. The breakfast was great and the staff was very accommodating.

Great location and close to the mall. Found a great restaurant within walking distance. Definitely would stay there again.

There was no bath mat in the bathroom for use when taking a shower.
