Motel 6 Schiller Park, IL - Chicago O'Hare

Trash in parking lot, no shampoo, one soap for shower & sink, saw several people urinating in parking lot. People talking loudly in walkways between rooms, room smelled like mildew, outlets were behind beds and had to move bed to access. Entire property smelled like weed. BUT, nobody died & nothing was stolen. Probably will find somewhere else next time.

Parking was available. Close to Dennys and Dunkin for coffee.

They ignored my messages and requests and stole my money too.

I never received any email, phone call, or other notification informing me that my reservation had been canceled before I arrived at the hotel. Therefore, I do not believe the claim that I was notified. I was very surprised and concerned by this situation, especially since I was charged more than the original rate.

My room, though basic, was nice and clean and comfortable. I appreciate an affordable safe clean place to stay. Staff were pleasant and helpful. This is a very convenient option near O’Hare airport.

Room was small, but near the airport. Plenty of parking.

The hotel was dirty, stunk, and had airplanes flying over it all night.

Upon arrival, was assigned a room that had not been cleaned. Had to trudge back to office to get a different room. No elevator, so you have to lug your bags up the stars. Room had nothing but a tiny bar of soap for amenities. No hair dryer. No shampoo. The cable TV was inop and signs posted stating no refunds or discounts because the cable TV was out of service. In essence, a queen bed to sleep on but that’s about it.

The motel it’s very old, they’re not being taking care of the rooms and even the door doesn’t work properly. The toilet seat was broken, the sink clogged.

Clean, cheap, and near the airport. But it wouldn’t have cost much to have a shampoo and conditioner dispenser in the bathroom, or to supply a plastic cup or two.

Unfortunately, my experience with the staff during the later shifts was quite different. The front desk employee working overnight came across as abrupt and unapproachable, and interactions felt unnecessarily tense. Similarly, my experience with the morning staff was disappointing. While I fully acknowledge my responsibility for oversleeping and checking out approximately an hour late, the manner in which the situation was addressed felt unprofessional. The use of inappropriate language and the overall tone of the interaction were unnecessary and detracted from the guest experience. As for the property itself, the room was clean and parking was convenient and hassle-free. However, there was a noticeable lingering odor in the room that impacted overall comfort. I would like to extend special recognition to the employee who checked me in. Her professionalism and hospitality stood out and reflected the level of customer service I would have hoped to experience throughout my stay. I only wish the same standard had been maintained by the other staff members I encountered.

Had two bookings but had to recheck for second stay. There should be no need for that - or better systems/processes are needed. We were advised that TVs aren't working! No discount or refund offered.

Shower and toilet worked. We were lucky to have a room at all since many flights were cancelled due to thunderstorms. Reached through taxi and returned to the airport via Uber without problems and close by and quickly. The floor was still wet. The television did not work. The drinks machine had limited drinks. The airport approach noise was clearly audible. There was no bath gel or conditioner, only a few small bars of soap.

The building looks like it hasn't been painted since it was built back in the 1960s. The grounds were in need of quite a bit of TLC. The beds had no headboards, but the mattresses were comfortable and linens clean. Room, despite being designated non-smoking, had a tint of nicotine in the air. The packages of soap were tiny and no shampoo was nowhere in sight. My room sounded like the jet-age version of the WWII film classic, Twelve O'clock High, the roar engines flying directly over my room was a feature that kept me from falling into the REM sleep I needed.

Do not stay there crazy that they charge so much for a run down property. Dirty unsafe door didn’t lock properly, room smelled like weed smoking, shady people around property looked like a horror movie. Pay the extra $100 and stay somewhere else.

Bad service and many homeless people

The front desk agents were so kind and helpful When I walked into the room there were roaches, turned on the light in the bathroom and there were more roaches. The room was grubby., surfaces not clean. The TV was broken. The wall by the shower was water damaged and moldy.

The floor was so dirty, I had to wash my feet before getting in the bed, I could feel it on my feet walking around. There was urine drips all over the bathtub ledge and the pillow smelled bad.
