TRYP by Wyndham Savannah Downtown/Historic District

Overall our stay was rather comfortable. However, there were a few set backs. Although the king size bed was well padded for comfort it had a huge rolling dip in the middle. The sink in the bathroom had a drip. We had other family members staying as well and we noticed there double queen rooms came with microwaves. Our room Although slightly more expensive, it did not have a microwave yet clearly a space for it. Upon reviewing we thought there was a continental breakfast as they previously had . To our surprise with the new ownership this wonderful feature no longer exists. Just a small coffee bar. Lastly, I am an owner of a commercial building maintenance company and there are more than a few common areas which needed addressing by the housekeeping staff. If this establishment is interested in cleanliness they should reach out.

Room and hotel were clean. Parking is $30 per night. Can park in the same garage they do for $1 per hour. June 2026.

Hotel is about money more than guest experience

The bathroom was filthy and the room smelled like mold. The staff was helpful upon check in but when we checked out after one night, they didn’t even offer to make anything right. Zero refund and no apologies. Terrible. Trust me - pay a little more and stay somewhere else so that your vacation isn’t ruined.

Unfortunately, my experience with the owner was the complete opposite. I found the owner to be rude, dismissive, and unprofessional in her interactions. It was disappointing because the excellent service provided by the staff was overshadowed by this negative experience. I appreciate the hard work of the hotel team, but management should reflect on how interactions with guests can impact the overall experience. The staff earned a high rating; however, my experience with the owner would make me hesitate to return.

Valet staff awesome. Front desk CSR could not find our reservation. We called Wyndham and they confirmed our reservation yet the front desk couldn’t find it. We were with the front desk trying to help and was involved for over 40 mins. The CSR was told to make a new reservation but NOT charge our credit card. Alas when we checked out, she HAD indeed charged our card. The manager said she would handle it. Overall the hotel is nice.

Valet was very disorganized. flies everywhere, including our room.

It’s centrally located within in walking distance to the downtown area It was not finished yet and construction was still going on and it was hard to find.

Only the valet parking attendant was very helpful. Location was good. Coffee available in the lobby. Was not worth the price.

The room was clean and nice. The only issue was the window a/c unit. The room was never as comfortable and cool as I wanted. It had warm spots and the air did not circulate well.

I can appreciate the location of the property, everything was within a reasonable walking distance. Staff was constantly elsewhere. upon arrival the family behind me was asking for help on where to stand in line and i’m not sure if the lady didn’t speak english or didn’t want to speak but she kept directing people by pointing to lady next to her without saying a word. front desk staff was rarely at the front desk. bar staff was sitting down at the bar charging their phone and on it while front desk staff was also chatting with valet or the bar staff. my room was also noticeably dirty. from stains on the bathroom shower wall, stains on my blanket, etc. The water in my shower would not drain and the drapery in the room was broken.

Unfortunately, while this hotel passes for average comparatively, I’m completely disappointed and discouraged as to the character and honesty of the employees . Yes, my fault for leaving behind an article not only valuable in a monetary sense but heavily weighted on the sentimental side…and the housekeeping staff had to know it by just looking at it. The person(s) assigned to clean the room absconded with the piece and then lied about finding it. This behavior says everything about the character of the staff and I will not recommend this Wyndham property nor any other. So sad‼️🥵

Conveniently located It was under remodeling

We parked across the street in the parking garage which was easy enough so valet is not a must. The restaurant was closed so no breakfast options. But there are so many fun places around to try that it was nice to get out and about as soon as possible. The location is definitely the best part of the stay.
