My early arrival was the first sign of trouble. I didn’t request an extremely early check-in. I asked around 2 p.m, but they send me waiting in the lobby. I noticed many other guests checking in early without any issues. At 3:30 p.m., I inquired about the reason behind this, and they claimed that my room wasn’t ready. However, I had already checked in and found the room in a state of disarray. The mirrors were covered in fingerprints, and the room was unkempt. The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned in years. Around 5 p.m., some staff members arrived, claiming that someone had mistakenly placed an order for me in my room, which I wasn’t occupying at the time. The card they handed me read, “Enjoy your stay,” but I quickly realized who had sent the wine and brownie. It turned out to be a surprise for my birthday, and the person who had ordered it had a heated argument with the front desk about the delayed delivery, which had been paid for days in advance. To make matters worse, the staff at the front desk was unfriendly, and the kitchen staff seemed to lack respect. In the end, I discovered that they had charged me for valet parking, which I hadn’t used because I was flying. They didn’t even apologize or thank me for my stay. In contrast, I once stayed in a cheap motel because I had no other options.

Only other issue we had was our shower didn’t work, I’m not sure if all rooms have the handheld shower head or if it was just cause it was a accessible room but it was covered in mold and just absolutely disgusting and it was spraying water everywhere from the connection no matter what we did. I also couldn’t get the main shower head to work. All in all not a horrible place to stay for a short trip.

There was no AC in the 6th-floor hallway, and it was very hot. Needed to leave my luggage at the hotel because I was picking up my daughter from an art camp, and they had the audacity to charge me to do it. Incoming guests can store their luggage for free, so obviously, only put their best foot forward before you pay them, not afterward. I expressed my frustration because I had only been there 12 hours due to the time I arrived but they said they had to reserve the space for incoming guests who got in before check-in. Also, I got there at 9:00 PM and they only had an accessible room left, even though that's not what I reserved. That wasn't necessarily a problem for me, but could be if the guest was elderly b/c the bed is low to accommodate a wheelchair. Wouldn't stay there again if for no other reason than the luggage situation was a glimpse into how I would be treated if something more significant came up.

The reason I chose this hotel was cause it was close to the historic downtown area and was in great walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Pool was small and not very clean. Had problems with our room from day one. maintenance staff come twice to fix our door had to get keys replaced still problem with the door. Housekeeping was to come every other day which they did, but sometimes they only made the bed and didn’t replace towels and then we had towels on the floor that were dirty and they never replaced new ones and the showerhead was very poor. it dribbled out no pressure. Staff was nice and helpful.

On Point as usual

The folks there were so friendly. The concierge never steered us wrong. The breakfast was good. The attached restaurant/bar was fun. The pool was clean. The housekeepers were incredible. My wife left behind a bracelet in a ridiculous spot and they found it! Amazing. Definitely would stay again.

Great stay

Free shuttle for tours, free uber-like rides called "downtowner", super nice staff, hotel lobby restaurant, easy walk to restaurants and pizza joints, monuments in walking distance, Kelly Tours nearby for outings, etc... Greyhound (if needed) in walking distance, clean, peaceful & calm area. No drama. Swimming pool & gym. No complaints, great trip

Great location- within walking distance of most areas. Room was clean & comfortable, especially like the separate bathroom from the shower. While there were guest laundry facilities, there was never any detergent available.

Great hotel and close to everything Savannah has to offer!!

This hotel was very well priced and we really loved the location of this hotel! It was just a few blocks walk to City Market and Broughton Street, close to Forsyth Park, and pretty much anything we wanted to do in Savannah. The property was well maintained and we really enjoyed having the pool to use after a hot day and lots of walking. We also liked Toasted Barrel that was attached to the hotel - they had great drink specials and so-so food. The few cons were: the beds were EXTREMELY uncomfortable and made so much noise anytime you moved. I would honestly not stay here again only because of this. The breakfast was fine, but everything was pretty much lukewarm - not hot. Last, the elevators were extremely slow and at one point only one was working. Most of the time we took the stairs, but it was located all the way on the other side of the property from our room.
