I was charged a resort fee of $30.00 upon booking and an additional $30.00 property fee, which included breakfast when I checked in. I stayed one Monday night and the bar and restaurant was not open and I left in the morning before breakfast. I requested a $30.00 refund and got no response. I do not like properties that are not transparent.

Wonderful place to stay with reasonable rates. Enjoyed the ambience which complemented the local area.

The Vanessie has a lot of charm but is in need of a little updating. I would not normally take issue w/ that except I had a lot of ants in the bathroom. There was no eating done in my room, but the ants were interested any time I ran the water & even invaded my toiletries bag & crawled into my nightguard case, so obviously I couldn’t wear it for the remainder of my stay. Hotel also gives a code(no keys) for the rooms & mine stopped working so could not get into my room. Front desk staff was not the slightest bit concerned or resourceful about taking care of these issues. Took >1 hr to gain access to my room with my purse in it. Would not stay here again. Very disappointing.

The room was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We loved that it’s not your cookie cutter hotel. The breakfast was very good. Convenient location for walking to plaza and restaurants if you’re still active.

I got there after 9:00 PM only to find out that they do not staff the Inn after 8:00 PM. I called the emergency number posted by the front door and Jay walked me through were to find my key codes (there are no keys, just coded locks) and got me into Unit 1. I immediately found small ants in the bathroom, and when turning on the light in the middle of the night, I scared away a fairly large roach. I also found my first morning there that the charming ceiling had a bad side. The floor above squeaked every time the guest there took a step. Woke me up at 6:30 that first morning. Next two mornings were not that bad, he must have been sleeping in. But the final morning, a couple had checked in above me and must have been trying to get in 10,000 steps between 5:00 and 8:00 AM, kept me awake the entire time. I would say that reviews with positive remarks on the breakfast were correct, it was quite nice. Final note. Unit 1 where I stayed had its own enclosed courtyard, which was nice, but it opened up to the street, which was not ideal from a security perspecive.

The Spirit of the Space: Stepping onto the grounds feels like inheriting a well-kept secret. With only a handful of exclusive keys to go around, the property completely bypasses the anonymous, bustling energy of larger resorts. Instead, it offers an intimate layout that feels like staying at the private compound of a well-traveled, quietly affluent uncle—the kind who understands that luxury is best delivered without a neon sign. The aesthetic is pure Southwestern poetry, balancing authentic rustic charm with a distinct, old-money. What Sets the Sanctuary Apart Generous Proportions: The rooms here don't merely accommodate; they breathe. The layout offers sprawling, expansive square footage that mirrors the wide-open New Mexico skies, giving you ample space to unpack both your luggage and your thoughts.

Place is beautiful; rooms especially. The breakfast was very good and complete. Our only complaint was we found two cockroaches in our room!
-
Glass window in shower needed some repair in the glass
-
The rooms were spacious and the breakfast was really good with lots of options. It was close to all the downtown activities. We will definitely stay there again.

This place never disappoints highly recommend if you can get in
-
Great location near Railyard area and downtown, right by some cute shops. Room was comfortable but had an odd design (lots of unusable space). Instructions for check in and getting to space were challenging. Included breakfast had some nice elements (fresh fruit). Air conditioner was in need of repair.

The breakfast was wonderful. The area is sketchy. We brought bikes and were told by some locals to not leave our bikes out as they will get stolen or parts will be removed.
-
Very nice and interesting rooms! WiFi and TV channel selection could be better but a great stay!
-
The authentic Santa Fe experience! The morning breakfast buffet was great with the amount of hot items and the excellent fresh fruit !! Great value in Santa Fe! Nothing

Convenient to town, boutique-style. The central church-in area was disorganized.
-
No hot water, TV remote didn’t work, mini split didn’t work. Had to wait for the desk clerk to quit scrolling on her phone to acknowledge us

Location is perfect. Walking distance to downtown plaza. The bad smell in the room was unbearable, noise upstairs kept us awake in the nights (usually until 11:30PM, and 2:30 in the morning in one night), and the unfriendly front desk staff did not make us feel welcome.

1. Poor lighting in bathroom. 2. Need full length mirror.

Breakfast was very good. Nice assortment. We had a dinner in the restaurant and it was very good. The decorations in the rooms were very nice.

It was very relaxing and close to downtown
