Kona Kai Motel

This is such a great, beautiful place to stay. The beds were comfortable. The fact that we had a functional kitchen with a refrigerator made a huge difference in ease of meals. The pool water was a perfect temperature. The wonderful front desk lady gave us complimentary bubbly wine when she found out we were on our honeymoon. The location is awesome to walk to things and also a close drive to anywhere on the two islands. The property’s landscaping was gorgeous! We will be back!

What a unique and clean property. The Polynesian theme was well done with areas of tranquility. The pool house had a kitchen and dishes which was well maintained. Our room was clean, updated and cool on those hot days. Great staff..so warm and friendly! Will definitely stay there again.

I like the privacy , cleanliness and the way the place was set up. It was more of a small apartment verses a motel room. pleasantly surprised. Very friendly and accommodating desk staff.

Staff was kind and helpful upon check in and check out. We stayed in the king tiki at the back of the property, it was our own separate cabin, we had the whole space to ourselves. Super clean and spacious, well stocked kitchen and bathroom, comfy pillows and bed, everything was perfect. The grounds are well maintained each area had spaces to sit, eat and grill. Location was close to everything. If we come back to Sanibel, we are staying here!

Very clean room and beautifully furnished. Outside areas were nicely landscaped and maintained. The pool was great and surrounding area was also very clean. Really enjoyed our stay here!

Perfect sanctuary for relaxation and peace

We love Kona Kai! This was our 3rd stay with them. Quiet and well maintained. Little kitchen area and updated room/ bathroom very nice. Nice, clean pool, love that it's deep! Air conditioning worked well and beds were comfortable. We felt like we were the only ones there. So relaxing!!!! Will definitely be back!

We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the place was. The staff were friendly and the grounds were well taken care of. The pool was a nice addition. The room was spacious and very clean. The air conditioner was nice but took a little while to figure out the remote control. We have already said that we will be back.

The BEST place EVER Super location, Service, clean, quiet, and good for Families

Although it was very quiet, we did have an air-conditioning vent in the bathroom at the base of the toilet for some reason and the last morning we were there the television would not turn on. Other than that, the pool was clean the towels were fresh. The people at the counter were very helpful.

Staff was welcoming and helpful. The grounds are clean. The room was large with space to spread out. A quiet place to stay.

This was the most beautiful place I have ever stayed at on vacation if you were ever on Sanibel Island this is the place to be. It’s very quiet. Everyone has their own little cottage thing and it’s decorated like a tiki hut village. It’s very cute. The air conditioner worked amazingly it was just a beautiful place to stay. It was very well priced and the staff was amazing.

What a wonderful weekend getaway we had at Kona. Staff was wonderful. The room was wonderful. Everything was great.

This property has been restored and updated after hurricane damage. The whole property is cut as can be. We stayed in one of the suites. Lots of room and the kitchenette is fairly well stocked. There were two small things that would have made our stay even better: more towel hooks or bars in the bathroom and wine glasses in the kitchenette.

Kona Kai was a very nice hotel. The rooms were very clean and very updated. It was one of the nicer places that we stayed. The staff was very helpful and I didn’t feel like they were hovering over us to be sure that we were doing everything we were supposed to. They were very open and they made a lot of the facilities available to us even when they weren’t on site. The full kitchen with icemaker in the pool area was really very, very nice. We did not have reason to use the full kitchen, but it was good to know that if we ever came with Family, we could cook and eat and not have to spend so much money at restaurants. The only thing that I was a little disappointed in is that they offered all amenities in the office to update our room like coffee towels, etc., but they were unable to be accessed after hours when we needed them the most otherwise, this was one of the nicest places we stayed, and we were very happy with the facility.

Super friendly and helpful staff! The room was clean and comfortable and the property is just beautiful- centrally located and easy to get to either side of the island.
