Clean room, facility, and close to the Bay and Pier for the limited time we were to spend in San Diego after 10 days in Hawaii. Our flight didn't get in until after midnight and the crew working the late shift were a little less than enthused as I'd hoped after our long today, but I know they were chill because the smell of pot was in the air. Otherwise, not a bad little hotel.

Staff was so helpful ! You’re allowed to leave your luggage if your room isn’t ready before check in .

They waved some resort fee I was unaware of as a gesture. Same problem the next morning as there were huge lines of people waiting to check in. Understaffed for a NASCAR race weekend or any weekend. Not a $400+ night hotel.

The staff was always extremely helpful and helped ensure that we received a variety of packages for this work trip. The rooms we extremely clean and the perfect place to call home for almost 2 weeks.

Location and friendly staff

Good location to visit downtown San Diego.

The hotel is in a great location.

Valet is $65, there is no self-parking, you have to find street parking or a nearby parking structure and the deposit was $200 for each room, the staff was sweet but the other room I booked took a long time before it was available and it was another $200 deposit.

We loved the location. We had a little trouble getting through to get information about the shuttle. Everything else was great.

Did not have the breakfast, but the hotel’s other amenities were excellent. The bed was the most comfortable EVER! Room size was perfect. Having the bathroom in the corridor before the bedroom is excellent planning. The lavender oil roll on for restful sleep was *chef’s kiss*! Shower needs an optional floor mat…very slippery. Coffee maker was awful. Took forever and made very weak coffee. Homeless in the area created a sense of fear BUT that is the plight of most establishments.

Stayed two nights of four night visit to area. Airport shuttle was excellent. Check in was fast. Room was high with bayview but next to staff room so heard music each morning by housekeeping staff who seemed surprised someone was in the room. Pool is much smaller than expected. Feels like an old Westin back home… same set up etc…. Public areas back memories of the 80s and 90s. Location is good for walking but my adult (college aged) daughter was startled by a man who came up quickly behind her and made comments about her appearance so she didn’t want to walk alone or after dark in the area. Not many people around after dark except homeless and occasional tourist. Did not take advantage of happy hour… second ticket was for evening after we were to depart. Front desk staff was great. TV screen read ‘welcome Barbara’ which is not my name. Was told they’d credit some Bonvoy points for some of the issues we had like gritty sheets but never got the points. Figured that was because I went through Expedia. Bathroom could be better … on par with a 2-star motel. Appreciated the in-room safe. Probably wouldn’t stay downtown again but hotel was okay especially location wise for walking during the day and the airport shuttle to/from hotel was helpful.
