Samesun Ocean Beach - Hostel

I love this hostel and have been using them for a few years now. Unfortunately, I've noticed a decline in the cleanliness during my last few stays. A few of the bathrooms, including the stalls in the women's restroom, were out of toilet paper. I'm not sure what changed but I do recall they had a cleaning crew that would clean the hostel in the mornings. Not sure if that is still being done.

The room was clean the stuff was so helpful and respectful. Breakfast was great the offered waffles and packs of oatmeal coffee & tea. Even after you check out you can still hang out until 6pm go to the beach come back and shower. I’m definitely coming back I encountered so many different people every one was so nice. My belongings were safe I didn’t have any isssues with parking was a great adventure

It was really clean, the only thing it was a bit hot. But the staff was super nice ?? To hot.

Busy and fun place to stay

Very clean and secure. My key card allowed entrance to the building and to my dorm room so my belongings felt safe and secure. Nothing

The staff was friend but most of all, the room was clean. The hostel smells really clean too! I loved it.

The people at the reception were always super nice. I liked the vibe of the hostel, they have several spaces to chill. They also had several separate bathrooms for one person with a shower and if they were occupied, there were bigger ones for each gender as well. The bunk beds had curtains and a separate light. They also have lockers, so dont forget to bring a lock. The location is really good, and easy to get to from the airport. The breakfast included some coffee, frozen waffles that you could toast with maple syrup, chocolate sauce, peanut butter, jam or whipped cream and some toppings, some bananas and tangerines and oat meal packages. It was fine but I personally wasnt impressed. The AC was set on 64 and could not be changed. For me it was a little too cold sometimes but Im also not used to having an AC? And there was always the option to turn it off.

My bed didn’t have any privacy curtain, breakfast was processed frozen waffle and instant oatmeal, but it was included! Staff real name ice, clean bedding & bathrooms.

The staff was super friendly and nice. The rooms were clean and we had no noise issues. Other guests were a little untidy and let their clothes over the floor. I understand that’s not Samesun’s fault.

The location on Newport Ave is near to the beach. Beach towels are available for use by guests. There is a free breakfast in the morning. Public transportation is around the corner on Cable St. The personal lockers in the room are too small. The dorm room had no desk or furniture.
