The Maverick, powered by Placemakr - River Walk

The room was very clean! The AC worked very well and kept the room at a crisp 68 degrees F despite the heat wave. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Make sure you keep this place at the top of your list if you want to stay in San Antonio!

The location is great, a 2 minute walk to the riverwalk, 7 minutes to the Alamo. It was previously an apartment building, so looks a little run down on the outside, but the rooms are well maintained. We were in the penthouse, which is reasonably priced and has a nice warehouse loft vibe. The best part of that was being on the 10th floor. Downtown can get pretty noisy when the Spurs win, we were aware but not bothered by that 10 floors up. The staff was friendly and it’s a good location for exploring San Antonio

The hotel because of its location, next to the festivities and directly across from a super bar and club provided eye masks and ear plugs. Not that they were needed on the night we stayed. In fact we opened the windows to hear the music that was very good. And located just one block from Riverwalk and all the restaurants makes this a good spot to use as a headquarters for a visit to the San Antonio area. The only negative that I can personally say; the stay was over guided by technology. I rarely upload identification documents to unknown websites. The technology was a constant during the stay. Some beneficial and some more of an annoyance. Okay so rant over. This is a fabulous property. Hint - Do not follow Google Maps as the one way street options will require you to navigate yourself around 7 blocks.

This place was perfect. Very close to all our San Antonio favorite spots. The Riverwalk was a short walk away. The staff was super friendly and the basement bar was a cute little spot. We also enjoyed the common area and full kitchen in our room. The bed was comfy and bathroom was spacious. We will definitely be staying here in the future.

Room was great and in a good location. Parking garage is only a few blocks away. So for a Thursday -Monday stay parking was only $20.

Great location and wonderful staff

I always want to try stay somewhere different when we visit San Antonio; however, the Maverick is too good to pass up. These staff is always amazing, the rooms are always clean and the location can't be anymore perfect for the River Walk.

The staff was amazing and made it effortless. The location was perfect literally steps from the Riverwalk and a quick short walk to The Alamo. The room was so cute and cozy. I will be staying here again when I visit.

The room was nice and clean. The ceiling fan helped keep the room cool.

It was an easy walk to the River Walk. The staff were very helpful and the room was great. There is a bit of street noise but generally by 11 pm that died down. And they provided earplugs in the room. I’d definitely stay there again.

Didn’t receive code before check in time

It was clean, and the bed was comfortable. However, the room was very small, and the street noise was incredibly loud. It’s quiet during the day, but the noise starts gearing up around 8 pm, and you can hear every car, yell, and bar in the area. Even with ear plugs and a sound machine, it was incredibly loud. I could even hear the clip clop of the horse and carriage clearly in my room in the 8th floor. Oddly my co-workers at other nearby hotels said their rooms were quiet. So I think it must be an issue with the way the building was built. The room has blinds, but no curtains. So the room brightens around 6 am.

We stay here all the time. Great area to be downtown. Will keep going back.

Super cool historic building in the perfect location within walking distance to lots of restaurants, bars/clubs, theaters, riverwalk and all the other cool sites San Antonio has to offer. The apartment was perfect size to not feel cramped and had everything you needed. Staff were cheerful and courteous. Valet was super easy. If you are a light sleeper, this may not be the place for you. They do provide earplugs and mask, but remember this is an old building downtown of a major city with active night life. The windows that give you great views also let in city noise. Great stay overall and will definitely stay here again.

Good affordable room for short stay. Close by everything. Clean rooms, comfy bed and friendly staff. Parking is way over priced and wish I would’ve taken advantage of other parking options. I paid $50 for parking and felt like a waste of money tbh. Clear wear and tear on and old building. Other than that everything was cool

While the property itself was nice, the lack of responsiveness and attention to guest comfort impacted our stay. Based on the level of service we received, I would not recommend this property.

Great location just feet away from the Riverwalk. We stayed here with my college aged kids, having a 2 bedroom was very convenient and perfect for us. The suite was spacious, clean and the kitchen came in handy. A wonderful repurposing of a historical office building. Well done.

Fantastic stay ! Location and price was perfect. Daly at the front desk was super helpful and understanding, although they have limit hours open for front desk - I felt looked after and supported. Will stay here again.

Perfect location.. in the heart of everything! Super clean room with the building having an older classical feel.. highly recommend this spot!
