Hilton Garden Inn San Antonio Downtown Riverwalk

The only thing that I recommend for the hotel is to add some more lighting or lamps to the room we were in which was 511, because it was kind of dark in there when we wanted to use the desk area. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Thank You!

It was extremely close to the venue we were attending. There were restaurants, Voodoo donut shop, pizza and ice cream all within a block or two. What I don't like is the parking. No one should have to pay $50+ to parking for 1 night. That is extremely ridiculous. SA Texas is not New York. Coming from the Ground floor, there's no signs telling you where the lobby is. Very confusing. Why do you have to ask for shower mat? The shower floor was dirty. The color on the television was blue.

Found the bathroom with hair on the floor and shower. Light fixture was hanging down. Great location. Rooms were outdated and not worth the price of room.

It was a great 4 days. The staff were always there when we needed them. Will definitely come back for our next staycation.

Great location near Riverwalk and Mall, lots of areas to visit. Great Staff and good breakfast to start your day.

Good hotel for individuals looking to be close to the San Antonio night life and river walk. Not the best hotel for families with little ones looking to get an early night sleep. Parking not available on hotel ground, only Valet parking available or paid parking lots. Staff personnel were top notch.

I was there for 4 nights and my room was only visited by house cleaning once. And when they did, they didn’t clean just added towels that’s it.

Front desk was notified (9 pm when we got to room)that our TV wasn't working or either we were doing something wrong. Front desk acted inconvenienced(attitude is important) and said maintenance would check it the next morning (when we left). They did offer free breakfast which we turned down. Front desk also said we could come watch TV in the lobby. Management apologized the next morning and gave us points. Otherwise, I would have rate 1 or 2. If these 2 things (TV not working, bad employee at Front desk) had not happened, I would have rated 4+, despite parking.

The location

The only reason I didn’t give a 5 star was because the elevators were out limited to only one working the majority of the time. Also, we had to request clean towels multiple times and when asked. They said they ran out. My card was also charged twice at check in and again for using valet for 5 days when in fact we only used them once. I reccomend you be sure to ask for a receipt to be sure you don’t get charged for things you didn’t use. Other than that… it was great.

We did have to ask for bath towels and a luggage rack. Our room was not serviced on our only day there and we had to ask for wash clothes, water and more coffee. The desk staff were great and the requests were filled quickly, but these were things we shouldn’t have had to adk for.

The parking was excellent and safe. The car was waiting for me and I didn't have to wait when I got downstairs. The staff was more than helpful and friendly.

We will not be coming back.
