La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Opelika Auburn

Great location for a quick stay in the Auburn/Opelika AL area. Free Continental breakfast, warm outside pool in June, and helpful staff.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was quite tasty with a good variety of food. Sidney at the front desk was awesome. She was most pleasant, professional, and efficient.

The staff there were not friendly, specifically the person who checked us in. I understand some people aren’t up for conversation, but don’t take a job where guests for you have questions if you prefer not to be social. For such a friendly town in Auburn/opelika, the people and place didn’t match the rest of our visit. We will be back, but not staying at La Quinta. There are a few other hotels within walking distance that we will check out.

Good visit

Hotel was clean and modern. Loved the complimentary EV chargers. Close to the interstate, and various shops and restaurants. Rooms were big, bed and pillows were excellent. Breastfast was tasty. Nice place to stop while driving to Destin FL from SC. The young male night front desk attendant (6/26) needs to be coached up on customer service as he was not very friendly nor was able to answer questions asked about local eateries or the cost (if any) of the EV chargers the hotel provided. Seemed irritated by questions. Day staff was much more friendly. Would stay again.

Everything was good. No complaints. The lady serving breakfast was very kind and friendly.

The hotel was very exceptional for the stay, clean, quiet, and location was great.

This is my go to hotel when I stay in Opelika, which is several times a year. It’s a great value with a very friendly staff. Also a great location.

The room was very clean and spacious. Our bed was real comfortable and had a good nights sleep. Very close to restaurants that you can walk to. The staff was very nice and helpful, especially Tammi who worked the breakfast area. The breakfast was phenomenal and Tammi offered to make my wife some waffles. That was very special and she is so nice. We will come back again No problem there

Great overnight stay. Room was comfy and clean.

I don’t prefer hotels that are pumping fragrance/air freshener at you as you enter the lobby. Too strong and overwhelming and implies that something needs covering up (musty, dirty, moldy smells). The room also had some sort of scent. Many travelers have sensitivities to fragrance. AC in room smelled musty. Overall, overpriced for the quality, but we were in town for a game and availability was limited.
