Just the location Oh where do i start: 1. Facilities are absolutely terrible. Hotel is very old. The minimalist design is just not luxury at all. Everything is so old and clunky. 2. Service is terrible: staff isn't cooperative at all and not welcoming. 3. Amenities are absolutely crap. Water isn't provided. Coffee is $35 per night. Hotel just pushes the guest to use room dining and charge insane prices for basic amenities. Gym is very bad and smelly. Not many equipment. And absolutely terrible ventilation. Gets crowded always. 4. Hotel always host something at roof top so its always busy and not peaceful. 5. While location is the only positive, the typical new York noise is very disturbing. Police cars, ambulance, people shouting etc 6. Price was very high considering all of the above. 7. I asked for cancellation they didn't agree, I asked for switching rooms to double queen bed, they charged me like a $100 additional per night. In my view, i would never ever stay here again. Oh and finally, no uber or lyft pick up straight from outside. We had to walk may minutes for location

Location only. Paid very expensive price for dirty windows view of Central Park. Stay clear - crazy overpriced tourist trap scam. Unfortunately many hotels in NYC are in a vertical decline. Park Lane is the perfect example of a hotel that doesn’t care about its decline but maintains exorbitant pricing that’s totally not representative of the services it provides. We are still checked in, spending almost $700 a night just for the dirty window view of the park while the AC is broken, and they have placed in the room a cheap Chinese external unit that’s super loud and doesn’t let anyone sleep at night. Best part? Also the electrical panel of the room can’t keep up and sometimes the electricity goes out when this little AC unit struggles at high. Also since its pipe goes through the window the shades can’t close and you get a blast of sun first thing in the morning. After complaining to the front desk 3 times I was only offered another room with exactly the same problems and no manager ever reached out. Ah, also forgot, the WiFi at least on the 25th floor doesn’t work so forget it if you want the luxury to work from your room. I spend 100 nights a year at hotels for work and all of them half the price of this one and never have I encountered such a thing in the US. Bottom line - Park Lane is unfortunately a tourist trap scam.

Location The AC cannot be set to a desired temperature. The engineering guy came to our suite for a minute and said there is no heat so the AC control would not work. Only super cool air condition or none.

I did not like anything. **A complete nightmare. Please read the Yelp reviews before booking, as they were far more consistent with my experience than the reviews on other platforms.** The location is central, but there are many other hotels in the same area, so this is not a real advantage. The hotel was old, dirty and mouldy. The air conditioning did not work. Instead, there was a very noisy machine blowing air in from outside, which also caused poor insulation. The room was difficult to sleep in. The areas under the beds and in the corners were not cleaned. The bathroom mirror had mould and green buildup that repeatedly made me feel sick. The rusty iron was almost unbelievable. Basic amenities expected from a five-star hotel were missing. I complained about the cleanliness every day, but the same dirt remained throughout my stay. I have photos of everything. At checkout, they charged me USD 50 for packages delivered to my room, although I had not been informed of this policy in advance. They also tried to charge me for breakfast for four people, even though we never had breakfast and we were only a family of three. When I pointed this out, they removed the charge immediately, as if they were doing me a favour. I stayed only because they would not refund my money. Otherwise, I would not have stayed even one night. We had to buy our own bed linen and towels. Do not be misled by the price or location. There are many cleaner and better hotels nearby. In my opinion, the conditions were unacceptable.
