You get what you pay for. This hotel is reasonably priced, but comes with limitations. It is closer to hostel-level than hotel level. The rooms are predictably small and good enough to be used as a crash pad (though very dated when compared to similar sized rooms at CitizenM or Arlo). The AC was very good. The water temperature and pressure in my unit was terrible, and the shower head itself looked like it was purchased for $2 at the corner bodega. My key card to access my room failed every single day of my 4-day stay, requiring me to go downstairs every single time to get it re-registered. One of the attendants said that it was a known problem and that the machine was being replaced soon. Another said that it was the first time she'd heard of it. There were ants all over the free coffee station. Luggage storage is out in the open in the lobby (with onky one front desk attendant at all times), so felt unsecure. Great lively neighborhood in the middle of the LES action, but I won't stay here again unless I absoutely need to.

Great location on the LES.

AC was out. The room was 96 degrees, they just cleaned it so no way they didn't realize it was too hot in the room. Manager was avoiding conversations for compensation. Charged full price. Go anywhere else, unless you're in high school and dont care about anything but a roof over your head.

Staff was excellent! They have a 24-hr concierge which i found very helpful. Small rooms, but you're probably not spending much time there anyways.

Location is great for walking and casual dining. Street side is often littered by the night bar crowd

I stayed at Pod 31 for the second half of my trip and had a far better experience for a comparable budget hotel.

The window in shower View The AC was controlled by front desk on 90 degree days and so we had no control over AC ( even though we had control panel in room it did not work ) which temp would get up to 86 degrees. I would go down to front desk ask them to adjust and they would lower temp but then it would stop working and temp would climb back up. The pocket door to bathroom was stuck open, asked maintenance to fix they did not. The tv did not work first night, but was fixed the 2nd day. The outdoor entrance of hotel had seating which very questionable people were hanging around at, smoking and overall not making you feel safe when entering the building. These tables and chairs were cleared out on my 3rd night so at least I felt somewhat safe walking in to the entrance. The staff tried their best but if a rooms AC cannot be controlled by guest you can tell what you are getting yourself in to.
