Heritage Hotel

Room was clearly not cleaned well, but it did the job for a two night stay. Air conditioning unit was good. The gym is tiny but you can get in a good workout, however it's not air-conditioned so it's very hot. Don't even ask about early check in because they'll just run you around in circles.

It was clean, staff was helpful, quiet rooms, great location. It was great having use of the large first floor room with tables, we brought in takeout food from restaurants on the block and it was so much nicer than having to corral kids in a restaurant.

We had rooms on the back that faced another building very very close up . No sunlight was let in giving the room a dreary atmosphere. Even though the room was clean it felt like a dump. It was quiet, the staff was excellent but I almost had a panic attack the first night trying to sleep. I would never return.

My friends and I stayed in a room with two double beds, and we had so much space to get ready with our stuff, which was fantastic! The staff was super helpful, and it was a great spot to come back to after walking the city all day.

I loved this hotel. The staff was very friendly, you can leave your suitcase if it is not yet check-in time or if you are already leaving the city. The room was also excellent and had a private bathroom.

The older elevator was like nothing i have experienced before. Pretty neat feature. Staff was great. Available luggage storage came in very handy.

Location is good, the building is old and in need of a total update. The place felt like a hostel. If your going with a group of guys who just need a place to sleep your in the right place. If however your looking for a place with your wife, not where I would stay.

The aircon unit was broken, the windows did not open and there was no water on our last day. There was apparently a construction issue with the water but the hotel did not have a contingency plan for us and as helpful as the staff were, there should have been more done for the inconvenience. The windows and aircon showed poor maintenance / upkeep of the property.

My biggest disappointment was the size of the room. It was much smaller than it appeared in the photos online. While I understand that hotel rooms in Manhattan can be compact, the pictures gave the impression of a more spacious room than what I actually received. If you're planning to stay here, be prepared for a very small room, especially if you're traveling with multiple people or a lot of luggage. That said, if room size is not a major concern, the hotel's cleanliness and upkeep make it a decent option in a convenient NYC location.

Perfect if you just need a place to sleep. No special amenities or glam to the hotel. Just a spot that is in great location.
