Que los cuartos le den más mantenimiento de limpieza

Nope. I should've paid the extra money and stayed at a bigger, more known, reputable/chain hotel. The rooms were small, so small the beds didn't appropriately fit in the room. They could've had Queen or a twin and may have been better. My shower was so small, you had to step out of the shower to rinse off. The elevator on the 4th floor didn't work. I showed up an hour past check-in and my room wasn't ready. The Essence is more of a Hostel than a hotel. If you're trying to save a buck and don't really care about the amenities, then have at it. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend.

Smells very bad do not come here

The room is very small. The room had no sitting chairs. Sitting chairs could not fit because the queen bed takes up 75% of the room. The elevator was broken so we had to walk up the stairs to get to our room.

Terrible experience. Pictures are very misleading.

The common areas were sprayed with too much fragrance that it triggered coughing attacks. The rooms were very small but for the price point it was ok (just to sleep and shower). Within walking distance (maybe 5 mins) to the train. Area appears pretty safe during the day. At night while walking to the train with my daughter a man followed us talking about hurting us, so safety at night is questionable. Overall, the hotel served its purpose.

Me pareció un lugar preciso, tiene el metro para cualquier lugar a menos de una cuadra caminando y es un lugar tranquilo muy bueno

Paper bag with breakfast was substandard. Lots of pastries.

A solid affordable hotel experience in a great location. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was very functional (especially the window AC unit and the bathroom were great). The only knock I can give is a general run down condition of some of the furniture and hardware, and slight lack of care in cleanliness if you looked hard (dust mostly). But the housekeeping was prompt and kept it clean in the key ways.

Great Location - near trains - good area near restaraunts and ammenities (mostly safe). The room was the expected size for a NYC hotel room, and the bed was comfortable, and even a hair dryer was provided. There is a "cafeteria" in the basement which has vending machines, a sink, and tables and chairs to sit down and eat your take out food. A few issues I had though were that there was no counterspace, just a small sink ledge to put stuff on. Also in this particular room I had the TV was mounted on a side wall, so not visible from the bed unless I laid sideways on an angle. Also the breakfast consists of a "grab and go" bag which is packaged pastries, fruit cup, and yogurt, most of which I could not eat because I am on a gluten free diet. There were some cosmetic inperfections including really wide unsightly grout lines and exposed circuit breaker box and wiring, but nothing that was so horrible I didn't feel like I still didn't get a good value.

The property felt unsafe and extremely run-down from the moment I arrived. The front desk was behind a glass-protected wall, which immediately made me uncomfortable. After checking in, I found there was no shampoo or conditioner provided, the hairdryer did not work, and the room felt dirty enough that I was genuinely concerned about bedbugs. Throughout the night, I could hear people screaming, yelling, and crying, which was very unsettling, especially as a solo traveller. I left very early the next morning because I no longer felt safe staying there. I only booked this hotel because it was close to the concert venue, but I strongly recommend others avoid it.
